The Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav of Pune introduced by Lokmanya Tilak in 1893 is now celebrating its 125th year .Tambdi Jogeshwari is known as “Gramdevata” of Pune. The ganeshotsav of Pune is very much popular not only in Maharashta but all over India and also acknowledged all over the globe due to its special highlights. Lokmanya Tilak himself had given status of Manacha Dusara Ganapati to Tambdi Jogeshwari Ganeshotsav Mandal because of “Gramdevata” from very beginning of the utsav.
