*द्वादशस्वपि मासेषु श्रावणो मेऽतिवल्लभ: । श्रवणार्हं यन्माहात्म्यं तेनासौ श्रवणो मत:।।श्रवणर्क्षं पौर्णमास्यां ततोऽपि श्रावण: स्मृत:। यस्य श्रवणमात्रेण सिद्धिद: श्रावणोऽप्यत: ।।*

श्रावण हा सर्वात पवित्र महिना मानला जातो.या महिन्यात बऱ्याच प्रकरच्या पूजा केल्या जातात. त्यात श्री सत्यनारायण पूजा, लघु रुद्र पूजा, मंगळागौर पूजा अश्या बऱ्याच पूजा केल्या जातात.

पण या महिन्यात विशेषतः भगवान शंकराची पूजा विशेष लाभदायक असते.
रुद्र हे भगवान शिवाच्या प्रसिद्ध नावांपैकी एक आहे. भगवान शिव आणि यापैकीच एक "श्री रुद्र "
यांची पूजा करण्यासाठी विविध वेद मंत्र वापरले जातात.त्यात विशेष म्हणजे "श्री रुद्राध्याय ".यात खूप उच्च कोटीचे वैदिक मंत्र आहेत . रुद्राध्यायाचे पठण करत शिव शंकरांवर अभिषेक करणे ही एक अत्यंत प्रसिद्ध पूजा आहे. भगवान शिव यांना भोलेनाथ म्हणूनही ओळखले जाते कारण शिव प्रसन्न करणे खूप सोपे आहे.

ही पूजा सर्व महापूजांमध्ये सर्वात शक्तिशाली पूजा आहे. रुद्राभिषेक पूजा सर्व वाईट शक्ती,नकारात्मक परिणाम, अडथळे दूर करण्यासाठी व आपले सगळे पाप क्षालन करून आणि भक्तांचे जीवन निरोगी आणि समृद्ध ठेवण्यासाठी केले जाते.

रुद्राभिषेक पूजेमागची कथा अशी आहे की, जेव्हा भगवान शिवाने लोकांच्या कल्याणासाठी भस्मासुराचा वध केला, तेव्हा सर्व देवतांनी या रुद्र अध्यायाचा उपयोग त्यांना शांत करण्यासाठी आणि त्यांची कृपा प्राप्त करण्यासाठी केला होता .असा हा परमेश्वराला अतिशय प्रिय असा रुद्रयज्ञ केल्यावर भक्त आपल्या जीवनामध्ये आध्यात्मिक आणि भौतिकवादी दृष्टीने लाभ मिळवू शकतात.

The shiv Rudrabhishek refers to the ritual bath of the Shiv Lingam. it is one of the most significant and popular ceremonies to please Lord Shiva and is seen as the greatest spiritual puja in all the Vedic scriptures. Rudrabhishek Vidhi
Shiva Lingam is first washed by water along with the continuous chanting of the Vedic mantra - Rudra Sukhta, which is popularly known as the Shiv Rudrasbhishek mantra. Other items like cow milk, coconut water, rice, powdered sugar, ghee, curd, honey, sugarcane juice, etc are mixed together and then poured on the shiva lingam.
Vedic Sadhaks perform the Rudrabhishek which begins with Lakshmi Ganesh Puja in the morning. After this, Shivling abhishek is carried out throughout the day using the above-mentioned items while chanting the rudrabhishek mantra.
later, flowers especially lotus flowers are used to decorate the Shivling and apart from flowers, leaves of the Bilva Patra tree are also used for decoration purposes. After all these rituals, aarti of 108 diyas is performed at the end and prasad is distributed among the Sadhaks and devotees who attend the puja.

Welcome to the pious and holy month of Shravan. This year, Shraavana month has overlapped Adhik maas after 19 years! This auspicious Yog will only come again after another 19 years. as per Ved shastra - Vishnu seva when done in this auspicious month, the benefits will be manifold.
How do we serve Lord Vishnu?
There are many ways, but traditionally, we offer a Satyanarayana pooja in this month.
The Satyanarayanã Puja is a religious ritual worship of lord mahavishnu.
The puja is described in the Skanda Purana,a medieval era Sanskrit text.According to ancient scriptures,the Satyanarayana Puja is an archetypal example of how "the Hindu puja facilitates the intimacy of devotional worship while enabling a humble sense of participating gratefully in a larger sacred world".
The puja narrates the Satyanarayana Katha (story), which dictates the various worldly and spiritual benefits the puja brings to performers. The Katha states how the deity Narayana vows to aid his devotees during Kali Yuga, the last of the four ages in Hindu cosmology, in particular the performers and attendees of the Satyanarayana Puja. The Katha narrates that the performance of the puja is in itself a promise to God, and recounts the plights of characters who either fail to complete the puja or forget their promises.

Narayan is the name of Lord Vishnu.Lord Maha Vishnu is the protector and sustainer. And Satyanarayana defines the pooja of Lord Narayan's Saguna Swaroop. The characteristic of Lord Narayan is, he who completes and accomplishes excellence in every role.
