Bangalpota Masjid, a beacon of Islamic heritage and spiritual devotion, is situated in the peaceful village of Bangal Pota, under P.O. Dadpur, District Hooghly, West Bengal – PIN 712305. Established approximately 150 years ago during the British era, this sacred place of worship was founded
by a group of visionary and devout villagers of Bangal Pota who aspired to create a spiritual hub rooted in Islamic values and traditions. Over the decades, Bangalpota Masjid has served as a central place for performing daily Salah (prayers), offering spiritual guidance, and promoting the principles of the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah. With a legacy deeply embedded in faith and unity, it has grown not only as a religious center but also as a symbol of hope, guidance, and community welfare for generations of Muslims in the region. The core objectives of the Bangalpota Masjid Committee are firmly aligned with the values of Islam and are centered around fostering a spiritually enriched and morally uplifted society. Our goals include:
Promotion of Islamic Beliefs and Practices: To uphold and disseminate the teachings of Islam by encouraging regular prayers (Salah), the practice of Sunnah, and the adherence to Qur’anic values in everyday life. Hajj and Zakat Guidance: To educate and support members of the community regarding the obligations of Hajj and the significance and proper distribution of Zakat as pillars of Islam. Community Building and Faith Development: To nurture a unified Islamic brotherhood, facilitate religious learning, and ensure that Islamic principles are practiced and respected across all age groups. Charity and Social Welfare: To organize community welfare activities including support for the needy, medical assistance, Islamic education for children, and assistance in crisis situations, guided by the principle of helping others for the sake of Allah (SWT). Preservation of Religious Heritage: To preserve the rich history and architectural legacy of the Masjid, maintaining it as a place of sanctity and peace. Today, the Bangalpota Masjid Committee strives to continue this noble mission with a renewed spirit of dedication and transparency. We work collectively to ensure that our mosque remains a sanctuary for worship, a school of moral discipline, and a place of communal strength. As we step into a more connected world, we welcome our community members and well-wishers to engage with us through our official platform. Let us walk together on the path of Imaan (faith), fulfilling our duties towards Allah (SWT) and contributing to the betterment of our Ummah through sincere service and unwavering belief.
