Shree Neelkanth Brahmeshwar Porvorim Porvorim, an ancient yet contemporary village, is located six kms from capital city of Goa, Panaji. Porvorim is dotted with shrines for various deities.

Seventy years ago, a group of people visited Porvorim and stayed at Vidya Nagar,Porvorim for a couple of years for construction work in surrounding areas, who while moving around felt the presence of Lord Shiva in the form of Shree NeelkanthBrahmeshwar. They then installed a small Pratima of Sheshnag symbolising Lord Shiva hence the name is derived from Hindu Lords “SHREE NEELKANTH BRAHMESHWAR VAN
