Our Activities at a Glance

To tell the story of the growth of the branch, centre of Ramakrishna Mission at Porbandar is like telling the story of an incessant flow of divine grace of Swami Vivekananda. The extraordinary circumstances in which the historic dilapidated Bhojeshwar Bungalow and the adjacent plots of land were received from the Government of Gujarat on 30 years’ lease .The rapid growth of the center with multifarious activities, Vivekananda Charitable Dispensary with Dental Unit , Physiotherapy unit, Ayurvedic unit, Homeopathy unit, Free Eye Care unit for child sight & free cataract operation for poor are performed for the people of Porbandar& nearby villages,small guest house for devotees, Free Reading Room, Library, Exhibition, Book Sales, daily prayer in temple, Value Education programmes ,free distribution of Milk, Biscuits etc. among children of nearby areas, Yearly Bal Samskar Kendra, etc, and the timely help from unknown quarters at the time of crisis all point out that there exists special grace of Swami Vivekananda on this center. Indeed, many admirers, devotees and well-wishers have felt the vibrations and invisible presence of Swami Vivekananda here, particularly in the room sanctified by His stay.

We sincerely thank all friends, well-wishers, devotees, volunteers and donors who have been helping in various ways for the growth of this center and for carrying out noble humanitarian activities. The blessings of Bhagavan Shri Ramakrishna Dev, Holy Mother Shri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda will be undoubtedly showered on all of them.
