V Kennedy, a Christian missionary from Singapore, reached India in the year 1980 with a vision of proclaiming the Gospel to the rural south Indian villages. Upon receiving God's calling, Pastor V Kennedy established Charismatic Evangelical Church in January 1983 in a rural village Unjavelampatti in Pollachi Taluk in Coimbatore District of Tamil Nadu State in South India. The Church was dedicated a
nd inaugurated by Pastor Lazarus the then Pollachi Center Pastor of the Ceylon Pentecostal Mission. Pastor V Kennedy ministered to the villages around Pollachi and he was conferred by The United Christian Church & Ministerial Association, Cleveland, Tennessee, USA as Reverend in the following year. The church was renamed as Charismatic Full Gospel Church and is registered under The India Trusts Act, 1882 as Charismatic Full Gospel Ministries Charitable Trust. Charismatic Full Gospel Church is an Independent, Reformed Protestant Church with the Four Gospels as its foundation stone. The church is governed by the trustees and the administration consists of Pastors, evangelists, elders and catechism teachers. Rev V Kennedy served in many positions as office bearer in various church minister's fellowships and Bible colleges. The church is a member of The Synod of Pentecostal Churches and Rev V Kennedy is the Patron of Pollachi Pastorate of Coimbatore Diocese. Recently in 2023, the Church choose Bro Justus Kennedy as the Evangelist of the CFG Church.
