The Church belongs to Malankara Orthodox Church under Thumpamon Diocese. The foundation stone of the Church was laid in the name of St. Peter in the year of Kollavarsha 1072, 9th of Meena Month by St. Gregorios of Parumala; who also laid the cross and offerd the first Holy Qurbana. It was known as Pariayaram Puthen Palli in the earlier days. First church was built using bamboo and grass. Bamboo-
mat sheets served the purpose of walls. In the beginning there were 65 families under this parish. The new church which is 120 feet in length, 45 feet width and 113 feet height (kotta) and was Consecrated on 14th and 15th of May 1999 by HH Baselios Marthoma Mathews 11nd Catholicos and Malankara Metropolitan.in the presence of Metropolitans HG Philipos Mar Eusebius, H G Kuriakose Mar Clemis, H G Dr Thomas Mar Athanasius andPaulose Mar Pachomios.Rev Fr Titus George was the Vicar
The Malankara Orthodox Church traces its origin to St. Thomas the Apostle. It is an ancient, autonomous, autocephalous, independent, Indian Church who’s Supreme Head is H H Moran Mar Baselius Marthoma Paulose II, The Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan. The Vicar of our church is Rev. John Mathew Madathilethu and Diocesan Bishop is HG Kuriakose Mar Clemis.
