Thomas Orthodox Church R-Perunad., popularly known as Bethanypally, is a parish under the Nilakkal diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. Bethany Ashram And The Parish was Founded in the same Year 1928, The First Parish in Eastern Area of Malankara Orthodox church. The Land for the Parish was Donated By Bethany Ashram Foundation Stone of the first Church was lais in 1918 by, Rev. P.T Gee

varghese (Late Arch Bishop Mar ivanious) & Dn. Alexious (Late Alexious Mar Theodosious). The Church was Consecrated By H.G Vattasseril Geevarghese Mar Dionysious (Malanka Metropolitan). The Foundation Stone Of the existing Parish was laid by H.G Alexious Mar Theodasious in 1943 and Consecrated by H.H.G Augen Mar Themothios (late cathliocose & malankara metropolitan) on 05.01.1958. Renovation & Extension of the present Chruch was started on 23.11.2008 by Very Rev.Fr. Christophorus Remban (H.G Abraham Mar Epiphanious) Foundation stone laid by, Rev.Fr. F.K Thomas Tharayath on 01.12.2008 and Consecrated by, H.G Mathews Mar Theodosious on 08.03.2009. Thomas Orthodox Church provides opportunities for people to worship God. Our worship includes praise, thanksgiving, confession, petition, reading of the Scriptures, and dedication. The Holy Eucharist is offered every Sunday. The church has M.G.O.C.S.M, Prayer Groups,Marthamariam Samajam, Youth League and Sunday school and regularly conducts Bible study classes, retreats, evangelistic meetings, social and charitable activities. The parish with a strength of more than 150+ families grows in faith day by day by the grace of God Almighty and the intercession of St. Thomas, St George, and all other saints.
