From 1930 onwards, the Feast of St. George on May 1st to 7th have been celebrated with great pomp and pride. George used to come irrespective of the caste and creed from far away places to celebrate and to receive blessings of St. George. The Famous "CHEMPPEDUPPU" is the main feature of this feast. The parish is blessed the convent and the formation house of the sisters of the same congregation of the Pathanamthitta province. They run an english medium school and doing different Apostolic works. An industrial training centre is the another institution of the Archdiocese here. the ITC intends to spread its wing by offering new courses to cope with the present requirement in the Information technology field.
