Lord, Revive Us!!

“Give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” Acts 4:29-30 (NIV)

Devotional!

And we wonder why the early church exploded. Could it be that prayers like the one that Peter prayed made a difference? Listen to the fervor. Listen to the pleading with God that He would show up in powerful magnificent ways. Listen to the commitment and dedication of the early disciples. I believe God wants the same from us today. Programs are good. Books and seminars are very helpful. But what we need is to come to God in the same sense of mission that Peter did. Look at what happened after they prayed with such urgency. “After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness. All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all. There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need.” When is the church going to become missional? When are we going to see that we are His ambassador called to share Christ’s love with a dying and hurting world? When we do, we will see the same results that Peter and the early church saw.

Heavenly Father God, Please, give me great boldness in sharing Your Holy Word. Father Of All Mercy, Please, Stretch out your hand with healing power and may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the Name of Your holy Son Jesus Christ." "Gracious Father God, I come before You today asking for a spirit of courage and holy boldness, Please, Forgive me for the times I have let fear, doubt, or hesitation keep me silent, Just as You heard the prayers of Your early servants in Acts 4:29, please enable me to speak Your message without shrinking back. Merciful Father God,
Please, Open doors of opportunity for me today, and give me the right words to say so that I can proclaim the mystery of the Gospel clearly and fearlessly, Fill my heart with Your Love for the people around me, that my words would always reflect Your Grace,Truth, & Power.

Meditate
I pray that God’s miraculous power will be evident through my life!
Spend time today imagining what it would be like to have God work in your own ministry the way He did in Peters. Visualize God performing mighty miracles. Picture people hearing the gospel with receptive hearts and churches overflowing with new excited believers. Sense the power of God working through the love of His people. Pray that God would make His power evident in your life today.

GOD KNOWS HIS OWN!!

2 Timothy 2:19-21 (NKJV) Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

Today I would like to look at verse 19, and then tomorrow we will look at verses 20 and 21.

When a king put a seal on something, like a letter or a package, that item became very valuable. If you messed around with it, you could be killed. God has put His seal on us, and that makes us very, very valuable. This verse states that God knows His special people. I do not know about you, but I am glad I am one of His special people!

God’s love for us is so amazing that He knows each of us in a very unique way. He created us, and therefore knows all about us. He knows what makes us glad, what makes us sad, what brings peace to us, what brings fear, and He is an ever-present help in time of need. This verse says, “The Lord knows those who are His.” I would rather have God know me, and for me to be in His will, than anywhere else.

So today, live in peace knowing that you are sealed by God and watched over. He knows you and loves you. He is working on you and has not given up on you, so do not give up!

The Lord knows those who are His, and since I am His, I know that everything is going to be ok. In this life, God is leading, guiding, and directing my steps. He cannot let me down because I am His.

Good evening! Good night! Oct, 6th 2026

Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst.
— John 4:14

He who is a believer in Jesus finds enough in his Lord to satisfy him now, and to content him for evermore. The believer is not the man whose days are weary for want of comfort, and whose nights are long from absence of heart-cheering thought, for he finds in religion such a spring of joy, such a fountain of consolation, that he is content and happy. Put him in a dungeon and he will find good company; place him in a barren wilderness, he will eat the bread of heaven; drive him away from friendship, he will meet the “friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” Blast all his gourds, and he will find shadow beneath the Rock of Ages; sap the foundation of his earthly hopes, but his heart will still be fixed, trusting in the Lord. The heart is as insatiable as the grave till Jesus enters it, and then it is a cup full to overflowing. There is such a fulness in Christ that he alone is the believer’s all. The true saint is so completely satisfied with the all-sufficiency of Jesus that he thirsts no more—except it be for deeper draughts of the living fountain. In that sweet manner, believer, shalt thou thirst; it shall not be a thirst of pain, but of loving desire; thou wilt find it a sweet thing to be panting after a fuller enjoyment of Jesus’ love. One in days of yore said, “I have been sinking my bucket down into the well full often, but now my thirst after Jesus has become so insatiable, that I long to put the well itself to my lips, and drink right on.” Is this the feeling of thine heart now, believer? Dost thou feel that all thy desires are satisfied in Jesus, and that thou hast no want now, but to know more of him, and to have closer fellowship with him? Then come continually to the fountain, and take of the water of life freely. Jesus will never think you take too much, but will ever welcome you, saying, “Drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.”

RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD

2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV) Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

To rightly the divide the Word of God takes times of reading it, meditating on it, and also studying it. Each way opens up the truth of the Word. I look at the Word of God like rock, and I am a miner seeking for gold. Yes, I might get lucky and find some on the top, but most gold takes a lot of digging and working.

When we open our Bible and start reading it, sometimes things can jump right off of the page and we go, “Wow! That was good!” and we get all excited. But there are other times that we read the Word and nothing really hits us. That is when we need to ponder and chew on it for a while. Do this during the course of the day.

You might say, “How do I do that?” Let me show you a couple of different ways. When you find a verse that speaks to you, write it down or put it on the wallpaper on your phone. Then throughout the day look at it, say it a few times, and think about what it is saying to you personally.

Before I got a Smartphone, I used to write scriptures on 3 by 5 cards and carry them with me, or hang them in places I would go, like on a mirror or the refrigerator. Be creative, and you will see that you will be digging up nuggets before you know it. His Word will be rightly divided in your life, and you will be a worker for the kingdom who is not ashamed!

Today, I am going to be a doer and a digger of the Word. I am going to let the Word of God have first place in my life, and I will study it so that I can rightly divide it and not be ashamed.

Denial

Devotional!

“Peter declared, ‘Even if everyone else deserts you, I will never desert you.’ Jesus replied, ‘I tell you the truth, Peter—this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me.’ – “Peter swore, ‘A curse on me if I’m lying—I don’t know the man!’ And immediately the rooster crowed. Suddenly, Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind: ‘Before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me.’ And he went away, weeping bitterly.” Matthew 26:33-34, 75 (NLT)

Devotional!

How hard it must have been for Peter to face the fact that he had denied Christ. It was obvious that he did not want to. He was sincere when he assured Jesus that he would not desert Him in His time of need. He loved Christ, but like so many of us, good intentions were not good enough. He did deny Christ. But I must be honest, I too have denied. I have denied Christ in my selfishness. I have denied Him in my lack of faith. I have denied Him in my lack of witness. I have denied Him in my lack of giving. Perhaps this is why Paul encourages us to grow in Christ. To participate in a process of growth so we learn from the past. This is what Christ allowed Peter to do. He did not chide Peter. He did not excommunicate him or shun him. Rather, He made it a goal to see Peter after His resurrection and specifically re-engage him into ministry. He cooked a breakfast and took Peter aside. He did not ask Peter three times if he denied him. He did not say, “Why not tell us all, Peter, how you claimed you would never deny me and then three times in one night you told people you did not even know me.” Instead, Jesus asked Peter three times, perhaps once for each time he denied, “Peter do you love me?” When Peter was convinced, Jesus sent him out to “feed my sheep.” Today, don’t let the guilt of past denials stop you from re-engaging with Jesus. Confess your sin and accept His forgiveness. He loves you and is waiting for you to serve Him again.

Meditate:
Today I will live for Christ!
Focus on today. It is so easy to live with the past or future constantly making demands on us. Today, forget the past and see that Christ has asked you to live for Him today. Visualize yourself with Jesus. You are meeting with Him and He asks you what are you going to do today? Visualize what you think your day will be. Ask Him to guide you, to give you direction, to help you react to the situations He brings your way. See yourself happy and at peace as you live your life today in complete faith and trust in Him. Affirm, “Today I will live for Christ.”

THE JOY OF THE LORD

Nehemiah 8:10 (NKJV) Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our LORD. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Many times in our lives we do not feel too joyful, but here the scripture says that the joy of the Lord is our strength. When you feel like you have no joy in your heart, lean on Him and let His joy overflow you. His joy will carry you no matter what is going on in your life. You can have all the powers of hell raising their ugly head at you, and yet still have a smile on your face and joy in your heart.

I think of the Apostle Paul who had so many tribulations come against him, yet in the book of Philippians he talks over and over about joy. Let us look at a few of these verses:

Philippians 1:4, “Always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy.”

Philippians 1:25, “And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith.”

Philippians 2:2, “Fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.”

Philippians 4:1, “Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.”

Remember, joy is a fruit, and like any fruit, you have to work with it until it matures, and then you can go ahead and eat it. So today, let the joy of the Lord be your strength. Rejoice in Him with all your heart!

Confession: Today, I abide in Him, and I know that He abides in me. My Father is joy, so I know that His joy is developing within me. I will let His joy flow through me no matter what comes my way. The joy of the Lord is my strength!

Abide In Christ!!

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5 (ESV)

Devotional!

I love the word abide. It connotes a deep relationship. It’s more than a casual waiting. It is to dwell with or continue on a sojourn with somebody. In today’s passage Jesus is inviting us to an intimate fellowship with Him. He wants us to abide in Him and at the same time He wants to abide in us. It is this divine symbiosis that creates God’s fruit in our life. As we abide in Him, His life force abides in us. It is His Spirit and His power that produces His fruit. Now I can understand why we would want to abide in God, but what amazes me is that God is the prime mover. It is Jesus giving the invitation. God deeply desires this kind of relationship with us. Oh that we would take His invitation and open our hearts and begin to fellowship with Him. Today, choose to abide in Christ.

Meditate:
I abide in Christ, Christ abides in me!
What a visualization is ours today. Sit comfortably and invite the Holy Spirit to show you what it is like to abide in Christ. Let Him guide you into the presence of God. Soak in His love. Sense His grace and mercy. Feel His peace flood your soul. Abide in Christ and then ask Him to abide in you. Open your heart to Him and invite Him into a deep fellowship with You. Picture Christ accepting your invitation and coming to abide in you. Spend time enjoying His presence, thanking Him for your wonderful relationship.

Angels are the unseen attendants of the saints of God; they bear us up in their hands, lest we dash our foot against a stone. Loyalty to their Lord leads them to take a deep interest in the children of his love; they rejoice over the return of the prodigal to his father’s house below, and they welcome the advent of the believer to the King’s palace above. In olden times the sons of God were favoured with their visible appearance, and at this day, although unseen by us, heaven is still opened, and the angels of God ascend and descend upon the Son of man, that they may visit the heirs of salvation. Seraphim still fly with live coals from off the altar to touch the lips of men greatly beloved. If our eyes could be opened, we should see horses of fire and chariots of fire about the servants of the Lord; for we have come to an innumerable company of angels, who are all watchers and protectors of the seed-royal. Spenser’s line is no poetic fiction, where he sings—

“How oft do they with golden pinions cleave
The flitting skies, like flying pursuivant
Against foul fiends to aid us militant!”

To what dignity are the chosen elevated when the brilliant courtiers of heaven become their willing servitors! Into what communion are we raised since we have in*******se with spotless celestials! How well are we defended since all the twenty- thousand chariots of God are armed for our deliverance! To whom do we owe all this? Let the Lord Jesus Christ be forever endeared to us, for through him we are made to sit in heavenly places far above principalities and powers. He it is whose camp is round about them that fear him; he is the true Michael whose foot is upon the dragon. All hail, Jesus! thou Angel of Jehovah’s presence, to thee this family offers its morning vows.

Good Afternoon!Good Evening! Good night! Oct, 1st 2026!!

Pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.
— Song of Solomon 7:13

The spouse desires to give to Jesus all that she produces. Our heart has “all manner of pleasant fruits,” both “old and new,” and they are laid up for our Beloved. At this rich autumnal season of fruit, let us survey our stores. We have new fruits. We desire to feel new life, new joy, new gratitude; we wish to make new resolves and carry them out by new labours; our heart blossoms with new prayers, and our soul is pledging herself to new efforts. But we have some old fruits too. There is our first love: a choice fruit that! and Jesus delights in it. There is our first faith: that simple faith by which, having nothing, we became possessors of all things. There is our joy when first we knew the Lord: let us revive it. We have our old remembrances of the promises. How faithful has God been! In sickness, how softly did he make our bed! In deep waters, how placidly did he buoy us up! In the flaming furnace, how graciously did he deliver us. Old fruits, indeed! We have many of them, for his mercies have been more than the hairs of our head. Old sins we must regret, but then we have had repentances which he has given us, by which we have wept our way to the cross, and learned the merit of his blood. We have fruits, this morning, both new and old; but here is the point—they are all laid up for Jesus. Truly, those are the best and most acceptable services in which Jesus is the solitary aim of the soul, and his glory, without any admixture whatever, the end of all our efforts. Let our many fruits be laid up only for our Beloved; let us display them when he is with us, and not hold them up before the gaze of men. Jesus, we will turn the key in our garden door, and none shall enter to rob thee of one good fruit from the soil which thou hast watered with thy bloody sweat. Our all shall be thine, thine only, O Jesus, our Beloved!
