Sree Chinakkathoor Bhagavathy Temple ശ്രീ ചിനക്കത്തൂർ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം Chinakkathoor temple is a prominent Devi temple under Malabar DevaswomBoard. It comprises three shrines - Thazhekavu, Melekkavu, and Vidya Ganapathi .

Chinakkathoor temple is a prominent Devi temple in central Kerala under Malabar Devaswom board. It comprises three shrines - Thazhekavu, the lower shrine is the abode of Bhadrakali in Swayambhoo form, Bhadrakali is enshrined in Melekkavu, the upper shrine and Lord Ganesha is enshrined as Vidya Ganapathi next to the upper shrine . The temple premises boast of a wide ground and a beautiful, broad ,

rectangular pond. The prathishtadinam of the deity is observed with all traditional rituals on Makayiram in the month of Meenam as per the Malayalam calender. The annual festival of the temple goes on for 12 days and it culminates with Pooram which falls on Makam day in the month of Kumbham. As part of the festival , Kalam Pattu and Paavakkoothu are performed by traditional artists days ahead of it . Other than that desa guruthi, cheriya guruthi, muttarukkal and the like are the favoured offerings of the diety.
