Day 1/9 - ॐ देवी शैलपुत्र्यै नमः॥
Goddess Shailaputri ; The Daughter Of The Mountain. 💫 Born to King Himavat and Queen Menavati, of the Himalayas (in Northen India), as per legends.
A re-incarnation of the divine feminine, the energy of the cosmos.
This birth is all the more significant because from here starts the journey of SHAKTI.
From here does she realise her true goal & perseveres towards it in the correct manner, as she took the steps towards conciousness.
She is depicted with two hands & has a crescent moon on her forehead, which symbolizes her relation with Shiva.
She holds a trident in her right hand which depicts her ability to win her own wars & a lotus flower in the left which reflects on the femininity and beauty aspects of her.
A true believer must respect a female, in all her glory throughout the year.
______
She is Devi of the root chakra.
Root chakra is the base chakra of all the 7 chakras, that is said to be inside one's body but can only be seen through the mind.
Only after the activation of all the 7 chakras, does your body align in a full concious manner and invokes the 'third eye'. All the 7 chakras have different names, different calibre and also different colours.
The root or the muladhara chakra is located at the base of the spine, and moves the slowest of all.
The feminine Divine, in her Devi form is Shailaputri and in her energy form is the Root chakra. It's red in colour.
And upon awakening, she begins Her journey upwards, taking her first step from the Muladhara chakra. As from her father to her husband – the awakening Shakti (THE ULTIMATE ENERGY) beginning her search for Lord Shiva (THE ULTIMATE CONCIOUSNESS). During the first day of the Navratri, the yogis keep their minds concentrated on Muladhara Chakra, the starting point of their spiritual discipline.
Shailaputri is the Muladhara Shakti to be realized within Self and sought for higher depths, through yogic meditation.
There's both Masculine and Feminine energies inside a person.
One should work on invoking the shakti within and aim towards reaching the shiva.
