Manidweepa

Manidweepa Sri Manidweepa Mahasamsthanam, Penusila - the earthly abode of Sri Lalita Parameswari Devi.

Cradled by Garudachala, consecrated by Amma Sri Vijayeswari Devi’s grace, it is a living vision of Sanatana Dharma where devotion, wisdom, and seva unite This exquisitely beautiful and ornate temple, with 108 white marble steps leading to the temple entrance, is adorned with various deities, the sacred Bilva and Raja Kadamba trees, as well as the Rahu/Ketu shrine right at the stairway’s entry. The

se white marble steps are also guarded by the vehicles of Sri Lalita Parameswari, the Lions of Dharma, that remind us “If you have righteousness you have everything. In righteousness, you have strength, will power, wisdom, truth, true devotion and inner beauty”, as said by Amma Herself. When entering the temple doors one is Graced with the vision of the “Tri Shakti Peetham,” which houses the most powerful energies of Sri Maha Lakshmi, Sri Maha Saraswati, and Sri Lalita Parameswari Devi, which Amma Herself has infused with Her own divine energy. This Shakti Peetham is the Home of Divine Mother and holds untold power and energy. The main temple walls are adorned with statues of Devi, in a myriad of forms, depicting the infinite aspects of Divine creation. The inner sanctum sanctorium is blessed with the sacred Divine murthis of Sri Lalita Parameswari as the main deity, with Shakara Bhagavan in the form of the Shiva Lingam, the powerful and sacred Shaligramas, and the mystical Sri Chakra Meru representing all of creation and existence. The power emanating from these Murthis is exemplified by the very fact that the most auspicious Sri Chakra Meru is radiating 174 crores of subtle energy vibrations in each and every moment. The main sanctum sanctorium is flanked immediately right and left with the idols of Sri Ganesha and Sri Subramanya, with a Sri Maha Lakshmi shrine to the right, and a Sri Maha Saraswati shrine to the left of Sri Lalita Parameswari Devi, all with their respective vehicles. Secret to most, the ground floor of the Sri Manidweepa Mahasamsthanam temple is garlanded with a shrine dedicated to the Sapta Rishis along with the idol of Sri Bharat Mata who adorn this sacred Purnaprajna Meditation Hall. It is in this very special shrine that the Sapta Rishis and Holy Sages meditate and offer blessings to all of humankind, especially during the sacred festival of Navaratri which marks the 10 days of celebration in honor of Divine Mother. With the foundation of the temple filled with tons of sacred kumkum, turmeric, sindhur and sandal powder holding crores of the Divine Sri Lalitha Sahasranama vibrations, and the Holy Shikara garnishing the temple’s top as the Sahasrara chakra, the Sri Manidweepa Mahasamsthanam represents the entire cosmos with Divine Mother as the Absolute Supreme Consciousness.

When the final mantras rise, and the homa fire glows like the heart of the sun, the most sacred moment of the yajna unfolds Pūrṇāhuti. At Manidweepa, it is performed in the pūrṇa vidhi just as in ancient times with every sacred item required by the Vedas. Each dravya, each grain, each flower, each mantra is offered not as a symbol, but as a living energy returning to its Source.

Pūrṇa means complete. Āhuti means offering. When the Pūrṇāhuti is offered, the entire universe is invoked the five elements, the gods, the ancestors, the living beings, the seen and the unseen all are offered back to the Divine Mother, the eternal Witness of the fire.

In that moment, the yajna becomes whole. It is said that even the Devas pause for it is not merely a ritual ending, but the merging of creation into consciousness.

“Yajño vai Vishnuh” The yajna itself is the Divine.
And when the Pūrṇāhuti is performed with devotion and precision, it is not fire that blazes it is the universe remembering its own fullness.

🌸 May this sacred act radiate peace, harmony, and grace to all beings.

As Navaratri’s sacred chants fade into silence, the month of Karthika Masam begins the time when devotion turns inward, and every flame becomes a prayer to Lord Shiva.

This is the month where lamps are not just lit in temples, but in hearts.
Each deepam is a reminder that darkness is not absence of light, but absence of awareness.

In Karthika Masam, the soul is invited to return to stillness
to sit beside the inner Ganga,
to listen to the silence between mantras,
to feel the presence that asks for nothing and gives everything.

May every lamp you light this Karthika Masam awaken the jyoti within
the flame that no wind can touch.

Nine colors, nine layers, one truth.
The Sri Chakra is not art it is Devi Herself. ✨
To behold it during Navaratri is to glimpse the heart of the cosmos.

“The sages said, ‘Yat pinde tat brahmande’ as in the microcosm, so in the macrocosm. Whatever we see in the vast universe, also lives within us. The Sri Chakra is that reminder: the cosmos and the heart are not two, but one.”

By drawing this sacred geometry, we remind ourselves that the universe is reflected within us. When the Homa is offered into the center of this Yantra, it is not just fire , it is consciousness itself being awakened.

🌸 To sit before this Mandala is to sit before the Devi’s own heart.

Day 3 Sri Raja Rajeshwari Devi rides the Surya Prabha Vahanam. Just as the sun illumines the world without discrimination, Devi’s grace shines on every being. Arati is not just light waved to Her it is the reminder that the flame of Self knowledge already burns within us.

Navaratri pujas use bilva, tulsi, lotus, and countless flowers. In the Chandi Sapthasathi, it is said that Devi is pleased even with a single leaf if offered with devotion. Flowers are not decoration they are the thoughts we place at Her feet. What we offer outside, we cultivate within.

In Navaratri, Go Puja is performed as a direct worship of the Divine Mother. The cow is not honored for what she gives, but for what she embodies.

She stands as a symbol of karuṇā (compassion), kṣamā (patience), and dharma (righteousness) qualities that sustain the world far beyond material nourishment. Her calm gaze reminds us of the peace we seek. Her steady presence is a lesson in forbearance.

The Śvetāśvatara Upanishad describes the Supreme as “the one hidden in all beings, the witness, the inner Self.” In Go Puja, we glimpse that Supreme - is not in distant heavens, but in a living, breathing being who teaches us humility and surrender.

🌸 To bow before Go Mata is to bow before these truths:
That life is sacred in all its forms.
That compassion is the highest offering.
That Dharma is sustained by gentleness, not force.

In her presence, the Divine Mother whispers: “Protect, nourish, and live with reverence for every being is a vessel of the Self.”

These vessels of milk, turmeric, sandalwood, honey, and water may look simple but in Navaratri they become cosmic offerings.

Milk is not milk anymore, it is the stream of purity returning to its Source.
Turmeric is not spice - it is Devi’s own aura of protection.
Honey is not sweetness - it is the harmony that binds community and family.
Sandal is not fragrance - it is the cool mind after surrender.
Sacred water is not water - it is the flow of time, all dissolving into the Eternal.

In the Yajur Veda, it is said: “Idam na mama” “This is not mine.” That is the essence of every dravya. We do not own what we pour. It was Hers already, and now it is returned to Her.

🌸 To see these vessels in the morning is to see the truth of Navaratri - Every resource we hold, every quality we carry, every drop of our effort when offered back to Devi, becomes sanctified.
