Our kids are taking over to show us what God did at VBS — expect laughter, songs, and God-moments that’ll melt your heart!

MGF Church – May Month Promise Word
“Yehovah Shammah – The Lord Is Present” Ezekiel 48:35

Hands that work – Laborer
When only the hands are engaged, it is mere labor. It is toil without direction, weary work that drains but does not fulfill. It sustains the body, but leaves the soul empty.

Hands and mind that work – Craftsman
When hands join with the mind alone, it is just craft. It produces skill without surrender, excellence without intimacy. It can build, but it is cold — work without worship.

Hands, mind, and heart that work – Artist
But when hands, mind, and heart unite, it becomes the work of an artist. This is the work God desires — worship in action. It flows with passion, purpose, and love. It reflects the Creator, and it carries His presence.

Yehovah Shammah – He Is Present
This May, let us refuse to settle for empty labor or heartless craft. God is with us in every work of our hand, and His presence makes it holy.

So let us look at the work of our hands this May with gratitude. As we commit our plans to Him, He will establish them.

Our Promise for May:
The Lord is present. Therefore, we will not be mere laborers or cold craftsmen. We will work as artists — with hands, mind, and heart fully surrendered — knowing He is Yehovah Shammah, the Lord who is always with us.

Colossians 3:23 – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord”

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them." — Matthew 6:26

Jesus didn’t suggest “don’t be anxious.” He commanded it.
And if God says don’t do something, and we keep doing it… that’s SIN.

Anxiety is telling God, “I don’t think You’re enough to handle this.”
But look at the birds. No savings account. Still fed. Every. Single. Day.

The solution? Philippians 4:6 — "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by PRAYER and SUPPLI ATION with THANKSGIVING let your requests be made known to God."

Trade your worry for worship. Trade panic for prayer.
Life isn’t meant to be survived in stress. Life is to live. To enjoy. To trust.

Repent. Reset. Rejoice.

What real faith looks like 👇

No electricity last Sunday evening.
Hall felt like an oven.
Everyone was drenched.
But nobody left.
We lifted our hands, sang louder, and felt heaven come down.
That’s the Church. That’s our Living God.

Sundays like this remind us: *Comfort is optional. Worship is not*

🫸WAIT🫸

In Acts 1:4, Jesus instructed His disciples: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised.” Before they went out, they were told to wait. Why? Because we must first be qualified for His service.

Acts 6:3 shows us what that qualification looks like: “Choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom... We will turn this responsibility over to them.”

The early church looked for people with three things:

1. Good reputation – a testimony that matches our faith

2. Full of the Holy Spirit – empowered by God, not just human effort

3. Full of wisdom – able to apply God’s truth in real situations

Only then are we truly capable to do His ministry. So the call for this week is this: let us repent and qualify ourselves before we preach, teach, or serve.

Ask yourself honestly: Am I of good reputation in my family, my community, my society?

The world is watching. Before we share Christ with our words, let’s first set an example that we are followers of Christ with our lives.

Ministry begins with OUR character.

Waiting isn’t weakness — it’s preparation.

Let’s get right with God, be filled with His Spirit, walk in wisdom, and then go.
