His Divine Grace Bhakti Swarup Tirtha Maharaj, Founder Acharya: Gaudiya Vaishnava Association, invites you with family to celebrate Chandan Yatra from 2 May 2014 onwards for 21 days and other important festivals. Supreme Lord of gods Shri Jagannatha gave direct instructions to King Indradyumna to perform this festival during the month of Vaisakha when it is very hot in India. Sandalwood paste is applied all over the body of Jagannatha leaving only His eyes. The cooling effect of the sandalwood is very pleasing to the body of the Lord. Smearing the transcendental body of the Lord with sandalwood paste during hot summer is an act of loving devotional service.
हम आपको सपरिवार 21 दिनों के चंदन यात्रा एवं अन्य महत्वपूर्ण त्योहारों के लिए, 2 मई 2014 से आमंत्रित करते हैं। भारतवर्ष में वैशाख (अप्रैल - मई) का महीना बहुत गर्म होता है अतः सर्वेश्वरेश्वर परम भगवान श्री जगन्नाथ ने राजा इंद्रदुम्न को सीधे निर्देश दिया कि चन्दन यात्रा का आयोजन इसी महीने में करे। इस महोत्सव में शीतलता प्रदान करने हेतु चन्दन का लेप, केवल भगवान श्री जगन्नाथ के आँखों को छोड़कर उनके पूरे श्री अंग पर किया जाता है। चंदन की शीतलता से भगवान को बहुत प्रसन्नता होती है। गर्मी के दौरान भगवान के श्री अंग पर चंदन का लेप लगाकर शीतलता पहुचना प्रेमा भक्ति है।

Shri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who is none other than the Lord of gods Shri Krishna with the bhava of Shrimati Radharani appeared to Jagannatha Misra and Shrimati Sacidevi. On the next day of His appearance is the grand celebration of Shri Jagannatha Misra Mahotsava. This day coincided with Holi Mahotsava. Visitor and devotees enjoyed special Feast and colours offered to Shri Shri Radha Madanamohan and Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Nava Vrindavan, Parsik Hill, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai.

Shri Krishna Chaitanya or Gauranga Mahaprabhu made His appearance at Shridham Mayapur, on the banks of Bhagirathi river in the district of Nadia, Bengal State, on the evening of the 23rd Phalguna Purnima, 1407 Sakabda (1486 AD), during Lunar eclipse, while according to tradition, the devotees were bathing in the Ganga chanting Shri Harinam, loudly.
Shri Caitanya Mahaprabhu appeared to Jagannatha Misra and Shrimati Sacidevi. He is none other than the Lord of gods Shri Krishna with the bhava of Shrimati Radharani. He appeared as a devotee to show us how to practice Bhakti-Yoga in kaliyuga and propagated the yuga dharma of deliverance by "chanting of the names of God".
