Dear friends,
I have learned of a dear man of faith in India, Aram Rajini Kumar, who is bravely trusting God to provide for 72 children in his care at Kalvari Prema Social & Gospel Service Mission in Puttur, Andhra Pradesh, India.
In my own research I found registration papers and other official documentation which satisfied me that it is legitimate. Then I asked an associate of mine, James Gnanaolive, to visit this ministry personally, to meet with Brother Aram and give me a report. I think his words will move your heart as it did mine.
Here is his account, written in his own words:
Dear Sandra,
Greetings in the precious name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Kalvariprema means Calvary's Love in the local languageTelugu.
It was founded by Bro Aram Rajini Kumar, originally known as A Govindaswamy before he came to know The Lord Jesus Christ as his personal saviour.
The thought of starting a children's ministry was implanted in his mind at the tender age of 13 when he was abandoned on the streets by his parents. He struggled and grew up with one thought, that is, he should not see other children suffer like he did.
So he used to spend all his earnings for poor and orphaned children. He also helps poor people and widows by giving them rice and clothes. He started with distributing pencils for children to write their exams during exam time.
Till now they have not been able to garner active support. They have been doing the ministry with whatever contributions they used to get in the village. Village contribution is mostly in kind only.
On the other hand he has not been turning away any needy person who has approached him for help. Thus he is having about 72 children of whom 22 are orphans and many are children abandoned on the streets. He has people who help him as volunteers and about 30 evangelists are spread out in the villages and towns near by.
The amount they seek for support is very low and reasonable. About $10 per child or evangelist per month. His current total requirement is about $700/month. Please don't get alarmed by this but please start generating partnership donations. Looking for shareholders in this ministry. People who can give any amount regularly. Looking for little drops as low as $5 or any amount. People who want to give one time or now and then are welcome. Basically all types of givers are required. Little drops is what is required to make an Ocean!
They also have plans to have vocational training for which they need to buy computers and sewing machines. This would be the next future step.
Right now they desperately need support as Bro Aram has lost a job he was doing and supporting the needs with his salary. He has also ended up with borrowings and small loans. These steps are temporary and one cannot go on taking loans.
In the video you see a very young man named Manickam who was brought up by Bro. Aram. In his 10th standard this boy scored 98.5% and received an award from the chief minister of the state. Bro Aram is standing to the right of him. Due to power failure and excitement I couldn't take proper videos. The way they were treating me was like a VIP. This made me jittery and I came back soon!!!!
I will take some more videos and pictures next time I go there.
Basically we want people who want to share with the reward God has in store for people who partner in this ministry.

....Bro Aram is a very faithful and dedicated person. At present there is no one to oversee the accounts. Bro Aram has an auditor who will be auditing the accounts. We can also oversee the accounts any time. Receipts will be issued for all contributions.
To date Bro Aram has not received donations through the bank. He had received $100 from a person in Germany (through Paypal). He was working and put his entire earnings to meet the expenses. They have been collecting locally in and around their village mostly in kind. So he has not received amounts regularly to maintain accounts.
If people are willing to give regularly by sponsoring a child or as many as they can, we can send a copy of the sponsorship form which has a picture and details of the child they would be sponsoring..... All accounts will be maintained by Bro Aram and checked by me from time to time.
We are in stage 1 and that is to generate funds for the immediate requirements.
