The Nyishi Baptist Church Council celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with reverence and patriotic spirit at the NBCC HQ.

Mr. Toko Kach, Executive Committee Member cm Former President and Pioneer of NBCC, graced the occasion as the Special Invitee. The program included flag hoisting, prayer for the nation, patriotic songs & dances, and messages encouraging peace, unity, and service to the community.

August 15th marks the day in 1947 when India gained freedom from colonial rule after decades of struggle and sacrifice. It is a day to:
𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙤𝙢 𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨; whose courage and sacrifice gave us a sovereign nation.
𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮; that binds people of all faiths, languages, and cultures together.
𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙢 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩; to the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution.

For the NBCC family, the day was also a moment to pray for the nation’s progress, peace in Arunachal Pradesh, and strength to uphold truth and righteousness in society. The members of NBCC churches from the nearby Pastoral Ranges also joined in the celebration.

The Naharlagun Town Baptist Church (NBCC) has sacrificially donated its church vehicle to the NBCC Rehab Centre Jote on 24th July 2026.

The vehicle has been handed over on 31st July 2026 to Pastor Biri Taha, Manager of the NBCC Rehab Centre Jote, for its official and important uses by Rev. Tao Temi, Secretary of the Relief and Rehabilitation Department, NBCC.

July 29, 2026: The Nyishi Baptist Church Council (NBCC) has initiated an environmental enhancement project at the Arunachal Christian Hospital (ACH) Sibi Village-Tigdo. This initiative involved a tree plantation drive, spearheaded by Rev. Milli Takum, Secretary, Planning and Development Department NBCC, and Dr. Akin Tana Tara, Chairman of ACH.

The trees for this plantation were generously provided by the Yupia Forest Division, under the leadership of Shri Hiba Taji, DFO (SF), Itanagar, and Ms. Hage Yopu, Range Forest Officer (RFO) of Yupia, Mr. Tana Pora Tara, Forester along with the dedicated staff of the Yupia Forest Division in Papum Pare District, Arunachal Pradesh.

The planting event was attended by Rev. Dr. Tana Tagi Tara, General Secretary, all Heads of Departments, and central staff of the Nyishi Baptist Church Council.

During the plantation, a diverse range of tree species was planted at the ACH site, aiming to improve the environment and enhance natural resources.
