ABOUT PAIN IN DEVOTIONAL LIFE Question: How to increase our capacity to take pain for the service of guru and Kṛṣṇa as best exemplified by you?

Jayapatākā Swami: You see, I once had a high fever, and my body was feeling all kinds of pain. I am just answering spontaneously. At that time Śrīla Prabhupāda was giving lectures in Vṛndāvana on the Nectar of Devotion, I was listening to those. I felt so much happiness, but my body was on fire! So I could see that my happiness had nothing to do with the pain, it was something different. And Kṛṣṇa consciousness is a science when you reach a stage where there is happiness you don’t bother about some of the pain that comes.

KARTIKA MONTH IS FAST APPROACHING
Question: What is the Specialness of the Month of Kartikeya??
Prabhupada: The answer is that is is a special inducement for persons who are not in Krishna Consciousness to perform some devotional service. For persons who are doing nothing in Krishna Consciousness, it is an indirect inducement to take to devotional service in earnest seriousness, every moment is Kartikeya. In this connection, there is a good example that sometimes a store gives special concession to attract new customers. But for those who are already customers there is no need of a special sale. They will purchase at any cost if they know the import and value of the goods. Similarly, those who are pure devotees do not aspire for any concession, and out of spontaneous love try to engage themselves in devotional service 24 hours each day, 365 days every year, without any stoppage.>>> Ref. Dear friends... I'm on a mission to find the source of this painting. The devotee who posted the image didn't know the source, so I'm reaching out to see if anyone has seen in its original form. A devotee should try to understand everything in relationship with Krşna and try to serve everything in that spirit. To serve everything means to engage everything in the service of Krsna.
