حضرت خدیجہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے ان کے سامنے آپ کے حالات بیان کیے اور کہا کہ اے چچا زاد بھائی ! اپنے بھتیجے ( محمد ﷺ ) کی زبانی ذرا ان کی کیفیت سن لیجیئے وہ بولے کہ بھتیجے آپ نے جو کچھ دیکھا ہے ، اس کی تفصیل سناؤ ۔ چنانچہ آپ ﷺ نے از اول تا آخر پورا واقعہ سنایا ، جسے سن کر ورقہ بے اختیار ہو کر بول اٹھے کہ یہ تو وہی ناموس ( معزز راز دان فرشتہ ) ہے جسے اللہ نے حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام پر وحی دے کر بھیجا تھا ۔ کاش ، میں آپ کے اس عہد نبوت کے شروع ہونے پر جوان عمر ہوتا ۔ کاش میں اس وقت تک زندہ رہتا جب کہ آپ کی قوم آپ کو اس شہر سے نکال دے گی ۔ رسول کریم ﷺ نے یہ سن کر تعجب سے پوچھا کہ کیا وہ لوگ مجھ کو نکال دیں گے ؟ ( حالانکہ میں تو ان میں صادق و امین و مقبول ہوں ) ورقہ بولا ہاں یہ سب کچھ سچ ہے ۔ مگر جو شخص بھی آپ کی طرح امر حق لے کر آیا لوگ اس کے دشمن ہی ہو گئے ہیں ۔ اگر مجھے آپ کی نبوت کا وہ زمانہ مل جائے تو میں آپ کی پوری پوری مدد کروں گا ۔ مگر ورقہ کچھ دنوں کے بعد انتقال کر گئے ۔ پھر کچھ عرصہ تک وحی کی آمد موقوف رہی ۔

Khadija said to Waraqa, Listen to the story of your nephew, O my cousin! Waraqa asked, O my nephew! What have you seen? Allah's Apostle described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, This is the same one who keeps the secrets (angel Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out. Allah's Apostle asked, Will they drive me out? Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said, Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly. But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while.

آپ حضرت خدیجہ کے ہاں تشریف لائے اور فرمایا کہ مجھے کمبل اوڑھا دو ، مجھے کمبل اوڑھا دو ۔ لوگوں نے آپ کو کمبل اوڑھا دیا ۔ جب آپ کا ڈر جاتا رہا ۔ تو آپ نے اپنی زوجہ محترمہ حضرت خدیجہ رضی اللہ عنہا کو تفصیل کے ساتھ یہ واقعہ سنایا اور فرمانے لگے کہ مجھ کو اب اپنی جان کا خوف ہو گیا ہے ۔ آپ کی اہلیہ محترمہ حضرت خدیجہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے آپ کی ڈھارس بندھائی اور کہا کہ آپ کا خیال صحیح نہیں ہے ۔ خدا کی قسم ! آپ کو اللہ کبھی رسوا نہیں کرے گا ، آپ تو اخلاق فاضلہ کے مالک ہیں ، آپ تو کنبہ پرور ہیں ، بے کسوں کا بوجھ اپنے سر پر رکھ لیتے ہیں ، مفلسوں کے لیے آپ کماتے ہیں ، مہمان نوازی میں آپ بےمثال ہیں اور مشکل وقت میں آپ امر حق کا ساتھ دیتے ہیں ۔ ایسے اوصاف حسنہ والا انسان یوں بے وقت ذلت و خواری کی موت نہیں پا سکتا ۔ پھر مزید تسلی کے لیے حضرت خدیجہ رضی اللہ عنہا آپ ﷺ کو ورقہ بن نوفل کے پاس لے گئیں ، جو ان کے چچا زاد بھائی تھے اور زمانہ جاہلیت میں نصرانی مذہب اختیار کر چکے تھے اور عبرانی زبان کے کاتب تھے ، چنانچہ انجیل کو بھی حسب منشائے خداوندی عبرانی زبان میں لکھا کرتے تھے ۔ ( انجیل سریانی زبان میں نازل ہوئی تھی پھر اس کا ترجمہ عبرانی زبان میں ہوا ۔ ورقہ اسی کو لکھتے تھے ) وہ بہت بوڑھے ہو گئے تھے یہاں تک کہ ان کی بینائی بھی رخصت ہو چکی تھی

Then he went to Khadija bint Khuwailid and said, Cover me! Cover me! They covered him till his fear was over and after that he told her everything that had happened and said, I fear that something may happen to me. Khadija replied, Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity-afflicted ones. Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin 'Abdul 'Uzza, who, during the pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters. He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight.

آپ غار حرا ہی میں قیام پذیر تھے کہ اچانک حضرت جبریل علیہ السلام آپ کے پاس حاضر ہوئے اور کہنے لگے کہ اے محمد ! پڑھو آپ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے کہا کہ میں پڑھنا نہیں جانتا ، آپ ﷺ فرماتے ہیں کہ فرشتے نے مجھے پکڑ کر اتنے زور سے بھینچا کہ میری طاقت جواب دے گئی ، پھر مجھے چھوڑ کر کہا کہ پڑھو ، میں نے پھر وہی جواب دیا کہ میں پڑھا ہوا نہیں ہوں ۔ اس فرشتے نے مجھ کو نہایت ہی زور سے بھینچا کہ مجھ کو سخت تکلیف محسوس ہوئی ، پھر اس نے کہا کہ پڑھ ! میں نے کہا کہ میں پڑھا ہوا نہیں ہوں ۔ فرشتے نے تیسری بار مجھ کو پکڑا اور تیسری مرتبہ پھر مجھ کو بھینچا پھر مجھے چھوڑ دیا اور کہنے لگا کہ پڑھو اپنے رب کے نام کی مدد سے جس نے پیدا کیا اور انسان کو خون کی پھٹکی سے بنایا ، پڑھو اور آپ کا رب بہت ہی مہربانیاں کرنے والا ہے ۔ پس یہی آیتیں آپ حضرت جبریل علیہ السلام سے سن کر اس حال میں غار حرا سے واپس ہوئے کہ آپ کا دل اس انوکھے واقعہ سے کانپ رہا تھا
Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, I do not know how to read. The Prophet added, The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, 'I do not know how to read.' Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, 'I do not know how to read (or what shall I read)?' Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, 'Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists), created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous. (96.1, 96.2, 96.3) Then Allah's Apostle returned with the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely.

آنحضرت ﷺ پر وحی کا ابتدائی دور اچھے سچے پاکیزہ خوابوں سے شروع ہوا ۔ آپ خواب میں جو کچھ دیکھتے وہ صبح کی روشنی کی طرح صحیح اور سچا ثابت ہوتا ۔ پھر من جانب قدرت آپ تنہائی پسند ہو گئے اور آپ ﷺ نے غار حرا میں خلوت نشینی اختیار فرمائی اور کئی کئی دن اور رات وہاں مسلسل عبادت اور یاد الٰہی و ذکر و فکر میں مشغول رہتے ۔ جب تک گھر آنے کو دل نہ چاہتا توشہ ہمراہ لیے ہوئے وہاں رہتے ۔ توشہ ختم ہونے پر ہی اہلیہ محترمہ حضرت خدیجہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس تشریف لاتے اور کچھ توشہ ہمراہ لے کر پھر وہاں جا کر خلوت گزیں ہو جاتے ، یہی طریقہ جاری رہا یہاں تک کہ آپ پر حق منکشف ہو گیا

Narrated 'Aisha: (the mother of the faithful believers) The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Apostle was in the form of good dreams which came true like bright daylight, and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him. He used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his family. He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food likewise again till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira.

Nabi Karim (Sallallahu Alehi w aalehi wasallam) par wahi ka shuruati daur achchhey, sachey aur pakeeza khuwabon se shuru hua. Aap (Sallallahu Alehi w aalehi wasallam) khuwab mein jo kuchh dekhtey wo subah ki roshni ki tarah sahi aur sachcha Sabit hota. phir qudrat ki taraf se Aap (Sallallahu Alehi w aalehi wasallam) tanhai pasand ho gaey aur Aap (Sallallahu Alehi w aalehi wasallam) ne ghare-hira main tanhai ikhtiyar farmai aur kai-kai din aur raat wahan musalsal ibadat aur yade-Ilahi w zikr w fikr mein mashghool rehtey. jab tak ghar aaney ko dil na chahta khane-pine ka saman sath liye huey wahan rehtey. khane-pine ka saman khatm honey par hi ahliya mohtarma Khadija (Raziallahu anha) ke paas tashrif latey aur kuchh khane-pine ka saman sath lekar phir wahan ja kar tanhai mein chale jatey, yahi tariqa jari raha yahan tak ke Aap (Sallallahu Alehi w aalehi wasallam) par haq khul gaya

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنَّ الْحَارِثَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَأَل رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، كَيْفَ يَأْتِيكَ الْوَحْيُ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَحْيَانًا يَأْتِينِي مِثْلَ صَلْصَلَةِ الْجَرَسِ ، وَهُوَ أَشَدُّهُ عَلَيَّ فَيُفْصَمُ عَنِّي ، وَقَدْ وَعَيْتُ عَنْهُ مَا قَالَ ، وَأَحْيَانًا يَتَمَثَّلُ لِي الْمَلَكُ رَجُلًا فَيُكَلِّمُنِي فَأَعِي مَا يَقُولُ ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا : وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِ الْوَحْيُ فِي الْيَوْمِ الشَّدِيدِ الْبَرْدِ فَيَفْصِمُ عَنْهُ ، وَإِنَّ جَبِينَهُ لَيَتَفَصَّدُ عَرَقًا .

ایک شخص حارث بن ہشام نامی نے آنحضرت ﷺ سے سوال کیا تھا کہ حضور آپ پر وحی کیسے نازل ہوتی ہے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ ’’ وحی نازل ہوتے وقت کبھی مجھ کو گھنٹی کی سی آواز محسوس ہوتی ہے اور وحی کی یہ کیفیت مجھ پر بہت شاق گزرتی ہے ۔ جب یہ کیفیت ختم ہوتی ہے تو میرے دل و دماغ پر اس ( فرشتے ) کے ذریعے نازل شدہ وحی محفوظ ہو جاتی ہے اور کسی وقت ایسا ہوتا ہے کہ فرشتہ بشکل انسان میرے پاس آتا ہے اور مجھ سے کلام کرتا ہے ۔ پس میں اس کا کہا ہوا یاد رکھ لیتا ہوں ۔‘‘ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا بیان ہے کہ میں نے سخت کڑاکے کی سردی میں آنحضرت ﷺ کو دیکھا ہے کہ آپ ﷺ پر وحی نازل ہوئی اور جب اس کا سلسلہ موقوف ہوا تو آپ ﷺ کی پیشانی پسینے سے شرابور تھی ۔

Narrated 'Aisha: (the mother of the faithful believers) Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah's Apostle O Allah's Apostle! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you? Allah's Apostle replied, Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says. 'Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired divinely on a very cold day and noticed the sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over).
