This church was started in 1970(initial works). The people of this locality used to attend Holly Mass at Paingottoor church and Kadavoor church till then. Initially there were 70 families. Some of them again joined the Paingottoor church. Now there are 65 families and 324 members. N

ow it is an established parish. There are prayer group, Mission League,Yuvadeepthi,mathru deepthi and Vincent DePaul.All organizations are working fine under the strong leadership of parish priest. People contributed their share both as land and money. The people recognized their need for a church and they cooperated.Recently we have rebuilt a administrative block , space for Sunday School and a Parish Hall . It was blessed by Mar.George Punnakottil(Bishop of Kothamangalam) on 23rd Jan 2011,during Church feast of St. Sebastian. Initiators of church : –
Dr. John Vallamattam, the then chancellor of the Diocese, V. Rev. Paul Kuzhikkatt, Rev. Joseph Ayathupadam and Fr. Genes Koottolackal etc. Stanistavas Nedumpuram Luiceer kadavoor in charge of this church. Joy Mundackal (Assist). Pious Athickal, Fr. George Kariyamadam, Fr. John Kothumuttam were Assistant of kadavoor in charge of punnamattam. Fr.James Kakkuzhy
