Dear friends, from today starts the auspicious Shahenshahi month of BEHMAN AMESHASPAND.
In the very beginning of time nothing existed accept for " PAK DADAR AHURAMAZDA ".
For HIM came out a voice a sound of "AHU".
From this sound started the beginning of all our Manthrawani and the conglomeration of all this Manthrawani was thereafter called " SAROSH YAZAD ".
All this Holiness or ASHOI which came out of PAK DADAR AHURAMAZDA ultimately merged into " SAROSH" and that is the reason as to why " SAROSH YAZAD "is referred to as "SAROSH ASHO".
After this PAK DADAR AHURAMAZDA brought out the good mind from within HIM and this Good or pure mind was known as VOHUMAN ( Bhalu man)or BEHMAN AMESHASPAND.
This is how the greatest Trinity of our religion
AHU ( PAK DADAR AHURAMAZDA)
ASH ( SAROSH YAZAD)
VOHUMAN (BEHMAN AMESHASPAND)
was formed.
A Ravaan cannot achieve FRASHOGARD untill it has gained complete ASHOI of SAROSH YAZAD and the pure mind of BEHMAN AMESHASPAND.
Sarosh Yazad and Behman Ameshaspand not only look after us when we are alive but also when we die, our Ravaan is taken under the care of Sarosh Yazad and Behman Ameshaspand.
It is for this reason, to give respect to Sarosh Yazad , Sarosh nu Patru is performed and to give respect to Behman Ameshaspand we should not eat cattle meat on these 3 days.
When on the Fourth day,the Ravaan moves away from the care of Behman Ameshaspand,it is only then we can start eating meat on the Fourth day onwards.
We find a Tiri on the Right hand side of the Sudreh. This Tiri indicates the above Trinity of AHU, ASH and VOHUMAN.
( please note Ravaan has no Gender hence Tiri should always be on the Right hand side of our Sudreh for both male and female )
Dear friends, once upon a time we had a very powerful Behman Yasht in Avesta language.
This Yasht was so powerful that Zarathostis on praying it for 40 days could get any of their wish fulfilled.
As time passed by, Zarathostis started misusing the above Yasht to fulfill their malefic wishes and it is for this reason this great Yasht was taken back by the MAGAV Sahebs in Baaten.
Behman Ameshaspand looks after or takes care of animals with split hooves.
Since we do not not have any Nyaish in remembrance of the great Behman Ameshaspand , it is important that we observe the month of Behman Ameshaspand and Anroja of every month.
During the pious month of Behman Ameshaspand we must refrain from eating meat.
Some Zarathostis prefer remaining Vegetarian the whole month, please continue to do so but it has got nothing to do with Behman Ameshaspand or our religion.
Also Behman Ameshaspand blesses us with Peace and harmony in our homes, so during this month we must make it a point to light a divo in remembrance of Behman Ameshaspand and
We pray and seek the blessings of the great Behman Ameshaspand.. May HE bestow peace and happiness in our homes and the entire world.
