मुंबईत सन १९२७ पूर्वी पासून श्रीसंत सेना महाराजांची पुण्यतिथी व माघ शुध्द दशमीस नामसप्ताह इतर कार्यक्रम संस्थेकडून साजरा होत असे. वांद्र्याचे त्यावेळचे आद्य व आदर्श समाज प्रवर्तक कै.श्री. बाळाजी आप्पाजी तूपे, कै.श्री.गोविंदराव आवडाजी वाघ आणि कै.श्री.रामचंद्र भिकाजी आहेर या व्यक्तींच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली दर माणशी रु.५०/- लग्न जेवणावळी प्रित्यर्थ वर्गणी जमा करुन मंदिर उभारण्याचा संकल्प सोडला. त्

याकाळी रु.७,००० /- एवढा निधी जमला होता. या कामी कै.रामचंद्र दादा आहेर, कै.दशरथराव माहीमकर व कै.पुंजाजी गायकवाड यांनी अविरत परिश्रम घेतले.
