Shiv Shakti Mitra Mandal, Fort Mumbai

Tuesday 1st September 1981, on the Evening before Ganesh Chaturti a group of small kids were playing and enjoying the Euphoria of Ganesh Utsav which was on its peak. All the kids gathered together and the Muslim kid Altaf Shaikh opened the packet in which there was a Small Beautiful Murti of Ganeshji. He said “ Dost Log chalo Hum Ganpati Bithate hai”. ularly known in Fort Area as Shiv Shakti Mitra Mandal. Initially these kids were supported by the People living in the Vicinity. Time passed by the kids grew up in to Youths and also the Second Generation kids who are also now youths joined them alongwith the third generation of kids. All Members of this Mandal have an immense Faith and Belief that whatever they have excelled in Life and All the Happiness and Progress in their Family is Solely the Blessings of “Our Bappa”. This faith has encouraged all Members and the Total Expense of the Grand Function is Contributed among by the Members and No Donations are collected from outside whatsoever thus setting an excellent example of self esteem. Years have passed and this Year We are celebrating our 32nd Ganesh Utsav setting all precedents Year by Year in Fort Area. Besides the Spiritual aim the Mandal is involved in many Social Activities such as Annadan and other activities.
