Shākambharī Navrātri at VishwaMohini Devasthān
(28 December 2025 – 3 January 2026)
Shākambharī Navrātri commemorates the compassionate descent of the Divine Mother who nourished the worlds during a time of great drought and spiritual decline. As described in the Purāṇas, when the demon Durgam usurped the fruits of all yajñas and the Vedas were lost, rains ceased for a hundred years and the earth was plunged into suffering. Moved by the intense prayers of the Ṛṣis, the Divine Mother manifested as Bhagavatī Shākambharī, shedding tears of compassion that restored rainfall and bringing forth grains, fruits, vegetables, and healing herbs to sustain all life. She ultimately destroyed Durgam, reclaimed the Vedas, and re-established dharma, peace, and prosperity.
From 28 December 2025 to 3 January 2026, Shākambharī Navrātri is observed as Gupta Navrātri, a sacred and inward-focused period of immense spiritual potency. Sādhana performed during this time yields accelerated results, helping remove inner dryness, obstacles, and stagnation while nurturing spiritual growth, clarity, and abundance.
The VishwaMohini Devasthān invites all devotees and sādhakas to participate in this auspicious Navrātri and receive the grace of the Mother who nourishes, protects, and restores balance in all realms.

SHRI MATRE NAMAH ||

This story is from the Tripurā Rahasya( Mahātmya Khanda ). The story is about the compiler or the author of the Tripurā Rahasya Hāritāyana or Sumedha.( Tripurā Rahasya Ch 2 )
There was a Brahmin named Sumantha living on the banks of Saraswati river. He had a son called Alarka. Alarka used to hear his mother called" Ai " by his father, and as small children repeat what they hear he also started calling his mother "Ai". Alarka dies in his childhood, and his last words on his death-bed was "Ai".
[ Ai ] is the apabransha ( corrupt pronunciation) of the word "Aim" which being the Vāghbhava Beeja is very dear to the Divine Mother. Having been uttered with child like innocence and purity, it conferred many a merits on the dying child. So much so that he is conferred the virtue of compiling the Tripurā Rahasya, which describes the Leelas of Bhagwati Rajrajeshwari in his next birth when he is born as Sumedha or Hāritāyana. It is an excellent confluence of advaita and Ta**ra philosophy.
As he grew up, his spirituality developed, and he sought the discipleship of Shri Parshurama, who conferred upon him the highest knowledge of 'Shri Vidya,' which he had obtained from Guru DattaTreya
Moral of the story: The essential qualification to Shri Vidya is child like innocence, purity, and love for your beloved Divine Mother. If you have it even if you utter Her name in a corrupt form, She blesses you, nevertheless conferring upon you the highest of merits.
It is essential to be able to love Her as a child. All the techniques of Shri Vidya upasana will be blessed upon you with Her grace as the Guru reaches you with Her blessings.
Come to VishwaMohini.. Come to grace.

Stay blessed
Jai gajanan.

|| SHRI MATRE NAMAH ||
Kāntih — The Divine Radiance of the Mother

(The 449th name of the Devi in the Lalita Sahasranama)

“Kāntih” — Salutations to the Mother who is the most luminous, the most radiant, the most beautiful light of existence.
The Mother shines with a brilliance that is entirely Her own.
If the sun derives its blaze from Her,
and the moon borrows its gentle glow from Her,
then how immeasurable must be Her own radiance!

Her mere presence in Her child’s life
melts the heart into devotion.
One glimpse of Her, one stir of Her nearness,
and the soul blossoms into love.
With a single ray of Her compassionate radiance,
all darkness within begins to dissolve.

Avidyā — the cloud that veils our innate discernment —
vanishes instantly when Her divine light touches us.
What remains is pure Vidyā,
the knowledge of the Self,
the recognition that I am none other than Shiva.

Her Dhyāna Mantra itself says:
“Sindūrāruṇa-vigrahām trinayanām…”
She has the hue of the rising sun—
a sacred reddish glow.
This red is not merely color; it is symbolism:
the color of blood that binds us to Her,
the color of connection, of nourishment, of life itself.

It is also the color of the o**m — the creative seed,
the spark from which life emerges.
Through this creative potential,
She reveals Herself as the Mother of all beginnings,
all possibilities, all creation.

She is the very embodiment of radiance
the light that removes inner blindness,
the warmth that awakens wisdom,
the glow that fills us with peace, clarity, and devotion.

O Divine Mother,
may Your luminous presence forever shine within us.
May Your radiance fill our thoughts,
illumine our hearts,
and guide our footsteps with love, tenderness, and grace.

O Mother, countless salutations to Your eternal light.

Come to VishwaMohini.
Come to the Luminous Mother.
Come to Her radiance that awakens the Divine within.
Stay blessed
Jai gajanan
