Eid Milad-un-Nabi Mubarak! ﷺ

On the blessed occasion of 12th Rabi al-Awwal, let us celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with love, respect, and brotherhood.

Some Muslims commemorate 12th Rabi al-Awwal, while Shia Muslims commemorate 17th Rabi al-Awwal as the blessed birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the birth anniversary of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (A.S.).

The essence is the same: love for the Prophet ﷺ, respect for one another, and unity among Muslims. May these blessed days strengthen our brotherhood and bring peace, mercy, and harmony to the Ummah.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi Mubarak to everyone! 🌙✨

Ayatollah Khamenei’s message on Hafta-e-Wahdat:
Hafta-e-Wahdat does not mean that Shia should abandon their beliefs or that Sunni should abandon theirs. Rather, both should remain firm in their respective beliefs while building unity and brotherhood based on their shared love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the fundamental teachings of Islam. They should avoid hostility, division, and sectarian discord.

The celebration of the blessed birth of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from 12th to 17th Rabi al-Awwal also aims to strengthen this spirit of unity and brotherhood.

More than 1400 years ago, during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, one of the most astonishing miracles occurred — the splitting of the moon. This was witnessed by the people of Makkah and is confirmed by both the Qur’an and authentic hadith.

> “The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split.”
> (Surah al-Qamar 54:1)

One night, far away from Arabia, in the lush southern lands of India, a powerful Hindu ruler named Cheraman Perumal stood on the balcony of his palace in Kerala. It was a clear night, the skies calm, the moon shining in its full brilliance.

Suddenly, something unimaginable happened — before his eyes, the moon split into two distinct halves, and then returned back as one. He was stunned. Nothing like this had ever happened before. The king summoned his court astrologers, scholars, and priests, asking them what this could mean. But none could offer an answer. It was an event beyond the natural order.

Time passed, but the incident stayed on his mind.

Later, Arab traders who regularly visited the Malabar coast arrived again with spices, goods — and news. The king, curious, asked them if anything unusual had happened in their lands recently. That’s when he was told about a man in Makkah who claimed to be a prophet, and how — by the command of his Lord — he had pointed to the moon, and it split.

The moment he heard this, Cheraman felt a deep certainty in his heart: this was the same event he had witnessed. The moon had truly split, and it was a sign — not just for the Arabs, but for the whole world.

Eager to learn more, the king made the extraordinary decision to leave his throne and travel to Arabia. Accompanied by a small group and guided by the merchants, he journeyed through the Arabian lands until he reached the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

There, face-to-face with the Messenger of Allah, the king accepted Islam, becoming one of the earliest known Indians to embrace the truth. It is said the Prophet ﷺ named him Tājuddin.

Cheraman intended to return to his people to spread Islam in his kingdom. But on his journey back, he fell ill and died in Dhofar, present-day Oman, where his grave is believed to remain.

Hasan Allayari makes controversial remarks about Mukhtar al-Thaqafi, claiming that Mukhtar helped the Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.) but also caused them pain, and that Mukhtar was not even a Shia. He further claims that Mukhtar is still in Hell, and that if Imam Hussain (A.S.) wishes, his forgiveness may be granted; otherwise, he will remain in Hell.

The same person has also previously made statements that were widely criticized for portraying Israel and America more favorably than Iran. Repeatedly making provocative and divisive statements can create confusion and discord among believers.

May Allah grant everyone guidance, protect the believers from fitnah, and lead us toward truth, unity, and the authentic teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.).
