Sree Thiruvanayi Vasupuram Siva Vishnu Temple Kayani under:kerala ksherta samrakshana samithi devaswam reg.no:2695/2011 Foreign invasion caused for thedestruction of them about 200 years ago.

Thiruvanayi Shiva temple and Vasupuram Vishnu temple are very important as far as the devotees are concerned. They are located at Kayani in Mattanur municipality .It is believed that the temples are as old as about 1800 years. These temples are the only shiva-vishnu temples which are located on the shore of river. The water from the holy river Thiruvanayi was used abhisheka. There is a legend that
