[11]நல்யோசனை உன்னைக் காப்பாற்றும், புத்தி உன்னைப் பாதுகாக்கும்.
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
[12]அதினால் நீ துன்மார்க்கருடைய வழிக்கும், மாறுபாடு பேசுகிற மனுஷனுக்கும்,
To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
[13]அந்தகார வழிகளில் நடக்க நீதிநெறிகளைவிட்டு,
Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
[14]தீமைசெய்ய மகிழ்ந்து, துன்மார்க்கருடைய மாறுபாடுகளில் களிகூருகிறவர்களுக்கும்,
Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
[15]மாறுபாடான பாதைகளிலும் கோணலான வழிகளிலும் நடக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் நீ தப்புவிக்கப்படுவாய்.

[12]பாதாளம் விழுங்குவதுபோல் நாம் அவர்களை உயிரோடே விழுங்குவோம்; குழியில் இறங்குகிறவர்கள் விழுங்கப்படுவதுபோல் அவர்களை முழுமையும் விழுங்குவோம்;
Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
[13]விலையுயர்ந்த சகலவிதப் பொருள்களையும் கண்டடைவோம்; கொள்ளைப்பொருளினால் நம்முடைய வீடுகளை நிரப்புவோம்.
We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:

My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
[11]எங்களோடே வா, இரத்தஞ்சிந்தும்படி நாம் பதிவிருந்து, குற்றமற்றிருக்கிறவர்களை முகாந்தரமின்றிப் பிடிக்கும்படி ஒளித்திருப்போம்;
