God - your supreme goal

"The nature of God - God is the source of the entire universe, of the Vedas and everything. God is the all-permeating and immortal Essence. He is the embodiment of love, wisdom and bliss. He gives power and light to the mind, the intellect, and the senses. He is in all: all things are in Him. He is all-in-all. Inside and outside He pervades and penetrates everything that exists. All mortal things are shadows. God is the only real immortal substance. Brahman is the living, dynamic Spirit, the source and the container of everything. God is the indweller of your heart. He watches all your thoughts. Therefore, you cannot deceive Him. God is the breath in your nose, the light in your eyes. God is the root of all your joy, strength, peace, and bliss"

I follow the religion of love. I am a true Christian, a true Mussalman, a true Hindu, a true Buddhist, a true Sikh and a true Parsi.

True religion does not consist in ritualistic observances, baths, and pilgrimages, but in loving all. Cosmic love is all-embracing and all-inclusive. In pure love, no one is shut out from its warm embrace. It is wide enough to include the humblest of us, from the tiny ant to the mighty elephant, from the condemned prisoner to the mighty emperor, from the worst scoundrel to the most reputed saint on the surface of this earth.

It is hatred that separates man from man, nation from nation, and country from country. It is pride and egoism that divide a man from another man. Hatred, pride and egoism are mental creations. They are the products of ignorance only. They cannot stand before pure love. ~Swami Sivananda

"Vibrations of Love - Everything is a vibration. The string theory of creation talks of 194 vibrations, each perhaps in ten dimensions, for creation to occur. The Vedic mantras revealed to seers and rishis manifest vibrations that attract blessings to those who repeat them over and over with concentration. Love is a vibration in more than three dimensions. Love is a frequency of attraction. Love embraces all. Love is a frequency of care. Love is a frequency of compassion. Love is a connector. Love can establish strong connections where nothing else seems to work. Love is a transformer. Its vibrations are powerful enough to not only modify the nature of a person but transform it so they are no longer the person they were. An ordinary person becomes extraordinary. Love as a strong, concentrated vibration is bhakti. Devotion purifies the mind and helps you reach a higher state of consciousness."

"Guru Poornima - is the day dedicated to your Guru. Poornima is when the moon reflects the light of the sun in its fully glory. The Guru is the reflection of the Atman and Brahman in their fullness. Hence Guru Poornima. The guru dispels the darkness of ignorance and reflects the light upon you in your spiritual journey. The disciple puts his feet on the guru's head to get the full awareness of Atman as Brahman. The guru showers unconditional love on the aspirant and prepares him for the goal of liberation. In English the word "guru" is sometimes used to refer to someone who is an authority on a particular subject and teaches it. Hence the word is used liberally, often without understanding its original meaning. Obedience to guru is paramount. In the West people don't like to obey or surrender, as this is not part of their culture. Without surrender, they can continue doing what they are doing. There is no love greater than one's love for their guru; ordinary, human love is a pale reflection of this love. Without divine love, the chela cannot grow. But the guru will only come to one who is ready for the journey. The loving bond between the guru and the disciple is a profound blessing, and to this day Bharat (India) continues to be blessed with enlightened gurus.

On this day I offer all I have for my guru, and pray to him as God himself. May you have the blessings of a guru, surrender to and follow his or her on your journey to the Self"
