BRIEF HISTORY OF THE ORGANISATION
In 1976 a few energetic student and youth established a organisation for celebration of puja, cultural functions , Road repairing, plantation and observations of Independence day, Republic day, Rabindranath, Nazrul, Gandhiji, Vivekananda birth days and other National and International days. After that 1979 they registered this organisation under West Bengal Societ
ies Act XXVI of 1961. In 1983 this organisation affiliated to Ramakrishna Mission Ashramma Lokosiksha Parishad –Narendrapur, South 24 Paraganas. Then they decided to active some social activities in Mahishadal Block. For example-
1. Food and Nutritions programme with the help of Zillla Sishu Kalyan - 1-4-1982.
2. Early Child Education with the help of Ramakrishna mission
Ashramma Loko- Siksha Parishad started on -1.4.1983.
3. Bratachary started on 4.11.1984.
4. Jeevandeep (Small savings) prakalpa started on -23.1.1985.
5. Social Forestry started on -14.7.1985.
6. Pathachakra (auto biography on Ramakrishna, Sarada, Vivekananda)
Started on -31.8.1986.
7. Gymnastic Yogo Byayam started on -4.1.1989.
8. Immunization and literacy programme started on -1990.
9. Intensive sanitation programme started on -16.7.1990.
10. Sanitation project of our organisation was a great success of our organisation. In 1992 we were fully covered of our village sanitation. And our village Bagda was a first sanitation village of undivided Midnapur District which was published by India Today patrika 30th September 1992.We had installed 1500 (one thousand five hundred ) low cost latrine in Mahishadal Block area. We had installed 9(nine) Tara-Hand-Pump in Mahishadal Block with the help of Ramakrishna Mission & UNICEF .And we also organised first time Tara- Hand – Pump training in undivided midnapur District. For the success of sanitation project our organisation awarded for best club of Mahishadal Block in 2002 – 2003 & 2004 -2005. In 1995 -1996 our organisation affiliated to NEHRU YUVA KENDRA –Tamluk. After that we started Youth Development Centre and various type of vocatgional training programme i.e. I) Tailoring training
ii) Jute training (papose , Bag )
iii) Bag making training. iv) Poultry Training. v) Youth Leadership training. vi) Youth club Development Training. vii) Agricultural training. viii) Kitchen Garden Training. ix) Tara- Hand-Pump training etc. In 1999 we were started Vivekananda Child Development Fund project with the help of RKMLSP. Mainly poor and brilliant student who are can not continued their studies for their financially backward. Our organisation helop this 38 student from primary section to class tenMainly books, Khata, Shirt, Medicine and coaching in a whole year. In 2003 -04 we were formed Youth Development Centre with the help of Nehru Yuva Kendra –Tamluk
National Environment Awareness Campaign started from 2006-2007 with the help of School of Fundamental Research –Kolkata
Since 2007 -2008 we had awarded best club of Mahishadal Block by Nehru Yuva Kendra Tamluk under Rashtriya Sadbhabana Yozona Prakalpa. Since 2994 -05 we were formed Self – Help – Group and to till now . Time to time we trained them various type of vocational training .Now we have organise five SHGs . The total number of male and female are 36 and 21 simultaneously. Besideds someti;mes we are organised different type of Awareness Camp, Blood Donation Camp , Health check camp etc. Since 1976 upto this we are continued above this activities . Now we are trying to supply filter (For save the pure drinking water ) of every household in our locality with the help of RKMLSP.
