St. Mary's Church celebrates the feast of Corpus Christi today on 30th May 2024. This is the most important feast for Our Sisters (The S.A.B.S. Congregation).

It is our duty to pray for and express our gratitude for their services to our parish. Let us celebrate this feast with great devotion. There will be a Feast Day Mass at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Holy Eucharistic procession and a festive meal.

Good Friday service will begin at 5.00 pm onwards. Please be there to experience God's love, abundantly displayed as he bore the guilt of our sins, spread his arms, died on the cross, and redeemed humanity. This ultimate sacrifice embodies the depths of divine love and forgiveness.

Palm Sunday, observed by Christians worldwide, marks the beginning of Holy Week and commemorates Jesus Christ's triumphant entry into Jerusalem, as foretold in the Bible. It is a day of profound significance, symbolizing hope, humility, and the anticipation of Christ's sacrificial journey towards the cross. On this day, believers gather in churches, carrying palm branches as a symbol of victory and laying them on the ground as Jesus is said to have ridden into Jerusalem on a donkey, greeted by crowds waving palm branches and proclaiming, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"

St. Mary's Church in Ariyur, Madurai, embraced the spirit of Palm Sunday with utmost devotion on March 24th, 2024. The faithful congregated in the sanctuary, their hearts filled with reverence and joy, as they sang hymns of praise and listened to the Gospel accounts of Jesus' triumphant entry.
