PRAY FOR NEPAL
One among the three Districts that were hit by the floods was the Nuwakot District, which is where AG Nepal Gen. Supt. Rev. Selbon Tamang resides. The following report was shared to us by Gen. Secretary Rev. Solomon Tamang:
- Warm greetings in Jesus name. Thank you for your prayer and concern. We had an emergency zoom meeting. The same place our chairman comes from. Very badly affected. Rev. Selbon and his family are safe. Some believers are missing. I contacted him.
- Approximately 200 individuals are currently taking shelter at Trishuli AG church (church of Pastor Selbon). The church is doing its best to provide them with food and accommodation during this difficult time. Some people are taking shelter in National Bethel School.
- According to Pastor Selbon, nearly 1,300 AG believers have been affected by the situation, and a similar number from other denominations are likely impacted as well.
- Communication in the area remains limited. Electricity supply is partial, though a relief system has been put in place to support those in need.
- 12 homes belonging to Trishuli AG Church believers have been destroyed. At this time, it appears that no church buildings in the Trishuli area have been destroyed.
- Pastor Selbon has requested prayer for the situation going through.
