A Christmas and New Year Message from the Bishop
My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The writer to the Hebrews offers us a profound truth to meditate upon this holy season:
"but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world" (Hebrews 1:2, ESV).
Christmas is not merely a historical remembrance; it is the celebration of the moment God broke the silence of history to speak His definitive Word to humanity. In the Incarnation, the Creator of the world entered His creation, revealing His immense love for us in the person of Jesus Christ.
As we stand at the threshold of 2026, we face an unknown future. Yet, we take tremendous comfort in knowing that the Child in the manger is also the appointed "heir of all things." The world, and our future years, belong to Him. Therefore, we can step into this New Year with confidence and hope, knowing that the One through whom all things were made holds our lives securely in His hands.
May the peace and joy of God’s spoken Word, Jesus Christ, fill your homes this Christmas. I pray that the coming year, 2026, will be a year of abundant blessings, deeper faith, and renewed hope for you and your loved ones.
With every blessing,
The Rt. Rev. Darbara Singh
Bishop, Diocese of Chandigarh CNI
