𝗧𝗵𝗲 3 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴:

Everyday and every night, the children of Aadam are affected by the 3 afflictions. Not a day goes by except that they are afflicted by all the 3 of them.

✫✫✫✫✫✫

THE FIRST AFFLICTION:

His lifespan is reduced everyday. He does not care much about his lifespan being reduced, but if there is any reduction in his wealth, he starts worrying. What he forgets is that wealth is recoverable but not the lifespan.

✫✫✫✫✫

THE SECOND AFFLICTION:

Everyday he consumes the sustenance provided to him by Allaah. If it is Halaal, he will be questioned about it [Surah al-Takaathur (102): 8]. But if it is through Haraam means, then he will be punished for it; and no one knows the extent of the punishment except Allaah.

✫✫✫✫✫✫

THE THIRD AFFLICTION:

Everyday he is nearing the Aakhirah by some distance; while at the same time he is being distanced from this worldly life by some distance. But his concern for the EVERLASTING HEREAFTER is nothing as compared to his concern for this FLEETING WORLD. He does not know if his abode will be the highest station in Paradise or the lowest depths of Hell.

💢💢💢

اللهم لا تجعل الدنيا أكبر همنا، ولا مبلغ علمنا ، ولا إلى النار مصيرنا ، واجعل الجنة هي دارنا

O Allaah! Do not make this world our greatest concern, nor the limit of our knowledge. And do not set our path leading towards Hell. And make Paradise our final abode.

Just came to my mind, please do read it.

We often ask Allah SWT for better Dunya more than better Aakhirah.

We fail to understand that the more we have Dunya things the more we will be answerable to Him on the day of judgement.

He SWT can give us all of it because this Dunya and whatever it contains is nothing in the eyes of Allah SWT.

But He is Allah, he loves us so he wants our Aakhirah to be better than our Dunya. But we always fail to understand that.

If we are going through difficult times and we are still thankful to him, then that's a gift from him SWT. Every good deed that we do is a gift from Allah SWT.

We need to have that yakeen, that whatever is going through in our lives it's for our betterment. Isn't it better for us to suffer here rather than to suffer on the day of reckoning?

May Allah SWT guide us all and bless us with the correct understanding of Deen. Aameen.

Alhamdulillahi Alaa Kulli Haal.

If the Holy Book is studied and its meanings are pondered over in a genuine quest for truth, all the veils of darkness are lifted, one after another, and our inner self is illumined by the light of faith. After the heart’s mirror has once been rendered capable of clearly reflecting the light of faith, we shall still have to revert to the Qur’an whenever we find that its shining surface is becoming dull and hazy under the effect of worldly temptations.

The following tradition, narrated on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Umar (RA) refers to the polishing effect of the Qur’an on the mirror of the heart: The Holy Prophet (SAW) once remarked: “Surely, these hearts get rusted as iron gets rusted in water.” He was asked how the heart’s rust could be rubbed off. He replied: “By frequent remembrance of death and the recitation of the Qur’an.” [Narrated by Bayhaqi]

Bismillah.

The human heart is a wonderful mirror that automatically catches and reflects the light of those universal truths that constitute Iman. What happens is that sometimes the surface of this mirror gets blurred under the effect of wrong environment and education and fails to catch and reflect the inner light of Iman. To polish this mirror so that it may clearly reflect man’s inner light, Allah (swt), out of His benevolence to mankind, has revealed His Word, urging us to discern the light inside ourselves and reminding us of the truths which are the intuitive apprehensions of our primordial nature. An insight and reminder (of the truths ingrained in human nature) for every servant who turns to Allah in repentance. [TMQ Qaf 50:8]
