The Quran - Unity of Allah
Bismillah Hir-Rahman Nir-Raheem
Mohammed did not bring the message of Islam in this world to create animosity among men but to unite them through the Unity of Allah. On that basis the Quran gives proof of Allah’s Unity and emphasises the importance of it.
To associate Allah with companions or children is a blasphemous lie! It is like saying that Allah procreates. Allah creates through the proclamation of His Will, and whatever He decrees happens through His will, and that is what makes Him the Most High. Allah did not need anyone’s help in creating this vast and mighty creation then why would He need anyone now? Allah needs no one He is self-sufficient and His power is infinite. He can create or destroy by His Word. By associating children to Him is like bringing Him down to the level of man. Allah has ordained reproduction in the lower species so they may continue existing but how can you worship Him as the Almighty God if the same rules apply to Him?
It is important for us to know that there is only One Almighty Lord otherwise we would become divided. Differences of opinion will lead to disagreements and arguments over different gods thus leading to feuds and fighting: segregation in man will cause mistrust and discrimination, making people fearful of each other and all hope of peace shall be forever gone. This would definitely jeopardise the earth’s future.
Anyone of understanding can see the creation not only serves a useful purpose but all its parts complement each other. In order for the creation to continue functioning flawlessly and peacefully it needs the guidance and protection of an Almighty Being but that Being has to be One, and no one else, otherwise there would be chaos - gods would fight just like men. So you can see by associating other gods to the Almighty will destroy the credibility of the Almighty’s power.
Allah created this vast and mighty creation so man would come to understand His infinite might and power and submit to Him in fear of His power. By giving credit to other gods then he will not be able to recognise Allah’s infinite power and that would render the creation as pointless: if the Almighty is unable to show His omnipotence through His creation then what is the point of the creation? It might as well not be here.
