Sree Manikandamadam Parakkadavu Sree Manikandamadam celebrates its 61st anniversary last year (2025). It is one of the oldest temple in the area.

It was in the year 1964, a group of Ayyappa devotees joined together in chekkiad panchayat and started an Ayyappa Madam (Small Temple) at Kariyadankunnu in Parakkadavu....
Hundreds of Lord Ayyappa devotees whole-heartedly contributed their might by way of performing physical labor, through financial assistance and organizational skill during the process of construction of this Temple. It must be

remembered that without God’s grace and those far sighted devotees sacrifice, efforts and contribution, this Temple would not have become a “sacred place”-that it is today. Today Hundreds of Ayyappa devotees come here for kettunira during the Mandalam-Makaravilakku season.
