Karikkamattom St Simons Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Velloor, Pampady is a prominent Church in Malankara under the Holiness Catholicos of the East who is under the directions of the Holy See of H H Patriarch of Antioch and the entire East enthroned on the Apostolic Thrown of St. With prayers they discussed and took the decision to construct a Church. By the Grace of God they found a suitable p

lace and bought the land on Meenam 27, 1078 ME. Thereafter the matter was discussed with the then Malankara Metropolitan H E Pulikottil Joseph Mor Dianasious and the then Kottayam Diocesan Metropolitan H E Kadavil Poulose Mor Athanasious, they gave directions that establishing the Church in the name of Mor Shemavon Desthuno will of great blessing for the community. On Kanni 8, 1079 ME the first Holy Mass was consecrated by Vettikunnel V. Kuriakose (Valyachan) and our Church was born.

ശിലാസ്ഥാപന പെരുന്നാളിന് കൊടിയേറി.
പാമ്പാടി:- വെള്ളൂർ സെന്റ് സൈമൺസ് യാക്കോബായ സുറിയാനി പള്ളിയുടെ 123-മത് ശിലാസ്ഥാപന പെരുന്നാളായ മോർ ശെമവൂൻ ദെസ്തൂനോയുടെ ഓർമ്മ പെരുന്നാളിന് കൊടിയേറി. പെരുന്നാൾ കൊടിയേറ്റ് വികാരി - ഫ. ലിബിൻ കുര്യാക്കോസ് കൊച്ചുപറമ്പിൽ, സഹവികാരി - ഫ. തോമസ് ജെയിംസ് കണ്ടമുണ്ടാരിയിൽ നിർവ്വഹിച്ചു. കൊടിയേറ്റിന് ട്രസ്റ്റി - എബ്രഹാം പി റ്റി പായിപ്ര, സെക്രട്ടറി - ജോൺ കെ വർഗീസ് കടുവാക്കുഴി എന്നിവർ നേതൃത്വം നൽകി. 26ന് (26/07/26) വൈകുന്നേരം 6 ന് പെരുന്നാൾ സന്ധ്യ നമസ്കാരം തുടർന്ന് പ്രസംഗം, റാസ എന്നിവ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നതാണ്. 27ന് (27/07/26) രാവിലെ 6:30 ക്ക് പ്രഭാത പ്രാർത്ഥന തുടർന്ന് 7ന് ഫ. സോജൻ പട്ടശ്ശേരിൽ മുഖ്യ കർമികത്വത്തിൽ വിശുദ്ധ മൂന്നിന്മേൽ കുർബാന, പെരുന്നാൾ സന്ദേശം, തുടർന്ന് പെരുന്നാൾ പ്രദിക്ഷണം, ആശീർവാദം , കൈമുത്ത്,നേർച്ച വിളമ്പ് എന്നിവയോടെ പെരുന്നാൾ സമാപിക്കുന്നതാണ്.
