Edathil Bhagavathy Temple is owned by Edathil Kottaram which is believed to be migrated from the ancestral Trivandrum Palace. Not sure about the origin date, Edathil Bhagavathy is believed to be the sister goddess of Kumaranalloor Bhagavathy. The Kumaranalloor festival possession comes to Edathil Temple on the holy occasion of Thrikarthika and ends up with the 'aaraattu' at Meenachil river.
