Thomas. The Main activity of the trust is to rehabilitate abandoned psychiatric patients wandering on the roads. Such patients are brought to Navajeevan Bhavan by the trust volunteers and the concerned authorities (police).They is taken to the hospital the next day for treatment. After long months of treatment most patients recover to good health. They are sent back to their respective home provid

ed they are able to give the correct address and their kith and kin are prepared to accept them. In the absence of proper address, the trust takes care of these people for life long. At present there are 220 mentally deranged persons both male and female from all over India belonging to different castes and creeds being cared at the Trust campus. Among these 48 patients are non malayalees hails from various parts of India, and even from Nepal. Those who are cured help in the various activities of the trust. At Navajeevan Bhavan, bed ridden patients are taken care of. Now there are 26 bed ridden patients with us: who are not able to do anything, even to move for their primary needs. Yet another important activity of the trust is the Food Distribution in Government hospitals in kottayam, namely Medical College Hospital Kottayam, Institute of Child Health (ICH) Kottayam and District Hospital. At present about 4000 poor patients receive our free food daily. Apart from this the trust also arranges medicine for the neediest patients coupled with donation for scanning and travel expense etc. In addition to it, in order to help the poor patients the trust provides free ambulance services. The trust also donates or makes arrangements to donate blood during emergencies. There is a new programme initiated by Navajeevan named “ORU KY ORU POTHI “. In order to promote the importance of charity among the school children and general public. The trust does not have any permanent source of income. Donation is our only income. People who know about our activities come and give donation in cash or in kind or they send cheque, DD or M.O. Almost all the works at Navajeevan are done by the volunteers. They render their services day and night. Prayer is the source of strength and inspiration for Navajeevan. There is continuous prayer in the prayer hall of Navajeevan. We take this occasion to express our heartfelt gratitude to our beneficiaries who help us in various forms and means .

ഗാന്ധിനഗർ.പ്രസവ ശസ്ത്രക്രീയയിലൂടെ മൂന്നു കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ജന്മം നൽകിയ യുവതിക്കും ഭർത്താവിനും നവജീവൻ്റെ കൈത്താങ്ങ്.പീരുമേട് വണ്ടിപ്പെരിയാർ, ഏസ്റ്റേറ്റിലെ രാജ, യുടെ ഭാര്യ ഗ്ലോറി (23)യാണ് രണ്ടു പെൺകുട്ടികൾക്കും ഒരാൺകുട്ടിക്കും ജന്മം നൽകിയത്.ഫെബ്രുവരി 24 ലാണ് കോട്ടയം മെഡിക്കൽ കോളജിൽ പ്രസവചികിത്സയ്ക്ക് എത്തുന്നത്. വിദഗ്ദ പരിശോധനയിൽ മൂന്നു കുട്ടികൾ ഉണ്ടെന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തി.സ്വാഭാവിക പ്രസവത്തിന് ബുദ്ധിമുട്ട് ഉള്ളതിനാൽ മാർച്ച് 19ന് ശസ്ത്രക്രീയയിലൂടെ മൂന്നു കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ജന്മം നൽകി.എന്നാൽ ചികിത്സാ സംബന്ധമായ പണത്തിനും, ഭക്ഷണത്തിനും രാജ ബുദ്ധി മുട്ടി.വിവരം അറിഞ്ഞ നവജീവൻ ട്രസ്റ്റി പി.യു തോമസ് ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തി. രാജയ്ക്കും ഭാര്യ ഗ്ലോറിക്കും ഭക്ഷണവും മരുന്നുകളുമുൾപ്പെടെ എല്ലാ സഹായവും ചെയ്തു കൊടുത്തു.ചികിത്സയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം ഇവർ ഇന്നലെ ആശുപത്രി വിട്ടു. ചെയ്ത സഹായത്തിന് നന്ദി പറയാൻ നവജീവൻ ആസ്ഥാനത്തെത്തിയ രാജയ്ക്കും കുടുംബത്തിനും രണ്ടു മാസത്തെ അരി പല വ്യജ്ഞന സാധനങ്ങളും, ഗ്ലോറിക്ക് കഴിക്കുവാൻ ആയൂർവേദ മരുന്നുകളും വാങ്ങി നൽകിയാണ് നവജീവൻ തോമസ് ഇവരെ യാത്രയാക്കിയത്.ആ ശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തി വളരെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിയ എന്നേയും കുടുംബത്തേയും സഹായിച്ച നവജീവൻ്റെ മറ്റ് സഹപ്രവർത്തകർക്കും നന്ദി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയാണ് ഈ നിർദ്ധന കുടുംബം നവജീവൻ വിട്ടത്

പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടവരേ തോമസ് ചേട്ടൻ ശാസ്ത്രക്രിയക്കു ശേഷം വീട്ടിൽ എത്തി.ആദ്യമായി ദൈവത്തിനു നന്ദി പറയുന്നു. പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചവർക്കും കാരീതാസ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റൽ മാനേജ്മെന്റിനും ഏതു സാഹചര്യത്തിലും നവജീവനെ ഹൃദയത്തോട് ചേർത്ത് പിടിക്കുന്ന നല്ലവരായ ജനങ്ങൾക്കും ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നിന്നും നന്ദി അറിയിച്ചു കൊള്ളുന്നു. മുന്നോട്ടും ഈ സ്നേഹവും പ്രാർത്ഥനയും പ്രേതീക്ഷിച്ചു കൊള്ളുന്നു.

സ്നേഹിതരെ, നമ്മുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട നവജീവൻ തോമസേട്ടനെ നെന്ചു വേദനയെ തുടർന്ന് കാരിത്താസ് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ് . രണ്ടു ദിവസത്തെ നിരീക്ഷണത്തിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ഇപ്പോൾ. വിദഗ്ധ ഡോക്ടേഴ്സിന്ടെ പരിശോധനകൾക്ക് ശേഷമേ മറ്റുള്ള ചികിത്സാനടപടികൾ തീരുമാനിക്കുകയുള്ളു. പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൽ ഓർക്കുക.സത്യസന്ധമല്ലാത്ത ഒത്തിരി വാർത്തകൾ ഇതേ കാര്യത്തെപറ്റി സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയകളിൽ പ്രേചരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. സത്യസന്ധമായ വാർത്തകൾ മാത്രം പ്രെചരിപ്പിക്കുക. നവജീവനുവേണ്ടിയും പ്രേത്യേകമായി തോമസ് ചേട്ടന് വേണ്ടിയും പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുക.
