The main deity of Sree Narasimha Swamy Temple, Aymanam, Kottayam, is Narasimha, the lion-headed incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The main festival falls in the Malayalam month of Chingam (August/September) and usually ends with an arattu, a ritualistic procession, on the day of Thiruvonam or Uthradam. Narasimha Jayanthi which comes in the Sanskrit month of Vysakha (May) is another important festival. Many pilgrims visit the temple every year.
