Dear All,

Greetings of the day!!

It is with great joy that I am writing to you about the opportunity that the Jesus Youth Movement received to make a presentation in the Vatican during the conference organized by Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life. The conference for the Presidents and Representatives of Episcopal Commissions for the Laity was titled “Pastors and Laity called to walk together”. A meeting of all the delegates of the congress with the Holy Father concluded the 3 days conference in New Synod Hall.

The paper presentation on behalf of our movement was made by our former International coordinator Shoy Thomas on Laity Formation in the context of Jesus Youth.

On the final day of the conference Shoy had the blessing of meeting and greeting Pope Francis. He gifted the Pope a wooden sculpture of St Francis with Jesus Youth International inscribed on it. This opportunity to be part of this conference is a great recognition for our movement from the Holy See.
