From the 1st of "Karikidaka" month to 31st of the month (17th July to 16th august 2019), Sreedhareeyam Oushadheswari Temple is celebrating as the month of Oushadhaseva (intake of medicinal offering).
Nelliakkat Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to the goddess Bhadrakali & Dhanwanthari Moorthy, located in Koothattukulam, Kerala. It is one of the most important places of worship for Hindus of Kerala. According to legends, the deity worshipped has power to heal diseases and give health and prosperity. Devotees from various places visit the temple, especially during the month of Karkkidakam, to get the medicinal offering.
The festival will start on 17th July. For the next 31 days, the medicinal offering will be available from temple in the morning (from 6 am to 11 am) and also in the evening (from 5 pm to 7 pm).
On 21st of July, 'Mahaganapathi homam', which is a vedic ritual for the well being of devotees, will start from 6 AM in the morning. At 8 AM on the same day, more than 25 famous elephants from all parts of Kerala will reach the temple and they will also be given the medicinal offering and medicated food.

ആയുര്വേദ വിധിപ്രകാരമുള്ള ഔഷധം പ്രസാദമായി സേവിക്കുന്ന കൂത്താട്ടുകുളത്തെ ശ്രീധരീയം ഔഷധേശ്വരി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഔഷധപ്രസാദ സേവയ്ക്ക് ജൂലൈ 17 ന് തുടക്കമാകും. ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 16 വരെ ഔഷധസേവ തുടരും. കർക്കിടകമാസത്തിൽ എല്ലാ ദിവസവും രാവിലെ ആറിന് തുടങ്ങി 11 വരെയും വൈകിട്ട് 5 മുതൽ 7 വരെയും ഔഷധസേവ നടക്കും.
ഔഷധേശ്വരീക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ജൂലൈ 21 ന് രാവിലെ ആറു മുതല് സുര്യകാലടി സൂര്യന് പരമേശ്വരന് ഭട്ടതിരിപ്പാടിന്റെ കാര്മ്മികത്വത്തില് 1008 നാളികേരത്തിന്റെ അഷ്ടദ്രവ്യ മഹാഗണപതി ഹോമവും ഗജപൂജയും രാവിലെ എട്ടിന് ആനയൂട്ടും നടക്കും. ആനയൂട്ടിൽ കേരളത്തിലെ ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചോളം പ്രമുഖ ഗജവീരന്മാർ അണിനിരക്കും.
കര്ക്കിടകമാസത്തില് ഔഷധേശ്വരി ക്ഷേത്രത്തില് ദര്ശനം നടത്തി ഔഷധം പ്രസാദമായി സേവിക്കുക എന്ന പുരാതനകാലം മുതല് നടന്ന് വരുന്ന ചടങ്ങാണ് ഇവിടെയും തുടർന്ന് വരുന്നത്.
കർക്കിടകമാസത്തിൽ എല്ലാ ദിവസവും രാവിലെ ആറിന് തുടങ്ങി 11 വരെയും വൈകിട്ട് 5 മുതൽ 7 വരെയും ഔഷധസേവ നടക്കും. രാവിലെ ഏഴിന് രോഗശമനത്തിനുള്ള ലക്ഷാർച്ചനയും വൈകിട്ട് 6.30 ന് രോഗശമനപൂജയും നടക്കും. 32 ദിവസമായി, ഓരോ ജന്മനക്ഷത്രങ്ങളിലാണ് പൂജകൾ നടക്കുന്നത്. ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാനചടങ്ങായ ഔഷധപൊങ്കാല കർക്കിടകമാസത്തിലെ കാർത്തികനാളായ കർക്കിടകം 11 (ജൂലൈ 27) ന് രാവിലെ 8.30 ന് നടക്കും. ഔഷധേശ്വരിയായ നെല്ല്യക്കാട്ടമ്മയ്ക്ക് പൊങ്കാലയർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ രോഗദുരിതങ്ങൾ അകറ്റി ആയുരാരോഗ്യ സൗഖ്യം ഉണ്ടാവുമെന്നാണ് വിശ്വാസം.
കർക്കിടകമാസത്തിൽ ഔഷധേശ്വരിയെയും ധന്വന്തരിമൂർത്തിയെയും ദർശിക്കാനും ആയുരാരോഗ്യ സൗഖ്യത്തിനായി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കാനും എല്ലാ ഭക്തരെയും സവിനയം ക്ഷണിക്കുന്നു.
