Kalkkulathutemple Devotional Decades before where the temple was situated had been lush green forest. Lord Shiva and Vishnu’s profound blessing is bestowed in this temple.

The divine forest was embraced by old Brahmin from Kanyakumari and thus the temples origin. The divine intervention led the old Brahmin to make this forest a place of worship. During the course of time when the worship and devotion of devotees descended in whole village had the disgrace of the LORD. In Kollam district, Thrikovilvattom Grama Panchayat, the temple is situated in Thattarkonam Village. Other idols in this temple are Devi, Lord Ayappa, Ganapathy and Nagaraja. The Festival in this temple begins with Dwaajaprathistha. The Festivity is celebrated with all divinity and grace. The strength of the temple was an always remain with the prayers of devotees.
