I guess you are talking about " Baba Boro kachhari " Shiva temple which is about 4kms interior from Thakurpukur Bazaar Bus Stop and has to be reached by hiring an auto-rickshaw or a private car.
It is believed that if you write your wishes on a piece of paper and hang it anywhere in the temple premises, your wishes will get fulfilled. Similar instances can be found in many other Hindu temples too, where people tie pebbles, strings, bells and dedicate them to God to get their desires fulfilled. On most of the occasion, if the person could achieve what he aimed/wished for, he returns with even morlee offerings to the God ! :D
