জগন্নাথ রথযাত্রা শুধু একটি ধর্মীয় উৎসব নয়; এটি মানবজীবনের আধ্যাত্মিক যাত্রার এক অনন্য প্রতীক।
'জগন্নাথ' অর্থ—'জগতের নাথ', অর্থাৎ সমগ্র বিশ্বব্রহ্মাণ্ডের অধীশ্বর। তিনি কোনো একটি জাতি, বর্ণ বা সম্প্রদায়ের নন; তিনি সকল জীবের আশ্রয় ও কল্যাণময় ঈশ্বর।
ভারতীয় দর্শনে রথ মানুষের শরীরের প্রতীক, ঘোড়া ইন্দ্রিয়ের প্রতীক, লাগাম মনের প্রতীক এবং সারথি বিবেকের প্রতীক। যখন বিবেক দ্বারা পরিচালিত মন ইন্দ্রিয়কে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে, তখন জীবন পরম সত্য ও ঈশ্বরচেতনার পথে অগ্রসর হয়।
রথযাত্রার আরেকটি গভীর শিক্ষা হলো—ঈশ্বর নিজেই মানুষের কাছে আসেন। এর মাধ্যমে বোঝানো হয়, আন্তরিক ভক্তি, নির্মল হৃদয় এবং নিঃস্বার্থ প্রেমই ঈশ্বরপ্রাপ্তির প্রকৃত পথ।
রথের দড়ি টানা কেবল একটি আচার নয়; এটি নিজের অহংকার, লোভ, ক্রোধ, হিংসা ও আসক্তিকে পরিত্যাগ করে সত্য, প্রেম ও ধর্মের পথে অগ্রসর হওয়ার প্রতীক।
জ্ঞানমূলক উপলব্ধি:
"যে নিজের মন ও ইন্দ্রিয়কে জয় করতে পারে, সেই প্রকৃত রথযাত্রী। আর যে নিজের হৃদয়ে জগন্নাথকে প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে পারে, তার জীবনই হয়ে ওঠে প্রকৃত তীর্থ।"

Jagannath Rath Yatra is not merely a religious festival; it is a profound symbol of humanity's spiritual journey.
The word "Jagannath" means "Lord of the Universe." He belongs to no single caste, community, or nation—He is the Divine refuge of all beings.
In Indian philosophy, the chariot represents the human body, the horses symbolize the senses, the reins represent the mind, and the charioteer symbolizes wisdom and discrimination. When the mind is guided by wisdom, the senses move in the right direction, leading life toward Truth and Divine realization.
Another profound message of Rath Yatra is that the Lord comes out to meet the people. This teaches that sincere devotion, a pure heart, and selfless love are the true paths to God.
Pulling the chariot is not merely a ritual; it symbolizes surrendering one's ego, greed, anger, hatred, and attachment, and moving forward on the path of truth, love, and righteousness.
