On 17th May 2026, ICYM, Archdiocese of Calcutta organised a Youth Leadership and Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme for the newly elected Parish Executive Committee (PEXCO) members. Nearly 30 parishes were invited, with 111 youths taking part in this enriching day of learning, interaction and leadership formation.
The programme was inaugurated by Fr. Moloy B. D’Costa, Vicar General. The day featured sessions by Mr. Lawrence Prince Biswas (Former Diocesan Youth Spokesperson) on “Understanding Your Roles as PEXCOs” and by the Diocesan Youth Director (DYD), Ms. Angela, on “Leadership Styles and Skills that Matter.”
Participants also engaged in a practical workshop on the challenges in youth ministry, followed by an interactive panel discussion graced by His Grace, Most Rev. Archbishop Elias Frank, Fr. Stephen Tudu (Advisor, Midnapore Deanery), Sr. Shanthi (Advisor, North 24 Parganas Deanery), the DYD and Mr. Biswas. The open-house discussion allowed participants to ask questions and seek clarity on how to move forward as youth leaders.
The programme concluded with the final blessing, certificate distribution and a memorable group photograph.
