With hearts full of joy and gratitude, St. Patrick's Church celebrated the successful conclusion of Children's Summer Camp 2026 with a special Prize Distribution Ceremony. The event recognized the enthusiasm, creativity, dedication, and outstanding participation of our young campers throughout the camp.

From faith formation and fun-filled activities to music, games, crafts, and teamwork, every child made the camp a memorable journey of learning and growth. Congratulations to all the prize winners and heartfelt appreciation to every participant for making this summer camp a wonderful success.

A sincere thank you to our parish priests, catechists, volunteers, parents, and everyone who contributed their time, love, and support. May God continue to bless our children as they grow in faith, wisdom, and fellowship.

Laity Sunday Celebrated with Faith, Unity, and Service at St. Patrick’s Church

St. Patrick’s Church joyfully celebrated Laity Sunday, a special occasion dedicated to recognizing and appreciating the invaluable role of the lay faithful in the life and mission of the Church.

The celebration brought together parishioners of all ages in a spirit of prayer, thanksgiving, and fellowship. Through their commitment, generosity, and active participation, the laity continue to strengthen the parish community by serving in various ministries, supporting charitable works, and witnessing Christ’s love in their families, workplaces, and society.

The Holy Eucharist reminded everyone that every baptized Christian is called to be a disciple and a missionary, using their unique gifts and talents for the glory of God and the service of others.

As a parish family, we express our heartfelt gratitude to all our dedicated lay members whose unwavering faith, selfless service, and tireless efforts continue to inspire our community. May God bless them abundantly and guide them to remain steadfast in their vocation of building His Kingdom.

CHURCH NOTICE

Dear Parishioners,
As many of you may already know, our neighbouring sister parish, St. Damien's Church, is unable to continue celebrating Mass and conducting parish activities at St. Mary's School, Dum Dum, which had served as their place of worship for more than a decade. A new site has been allocated, and preparations for the construction of their new church are currently underway.

Until further notice, St. Damien's Parish has been accommodated at St. Patrick's Church for the celebration of Masses and other parish services. We kindly request all parishioners, under the guidance of their Parish Priests, Fr. Umakant and Fr. Suraj, to extend their cooperation and support as they adapt to these temporary arrangements.

Mass Timings (Summer Schedule)

At St. Patrick's Church
6:30 AM – Bengali Mass
8:30 AM – English Mass
5:30 PM – Bilingual Mass (mainly for St. Damien's but open to all)

At Auxilium Convent
5:30 PM – Bengali Mass

PARISH YOUTH REPORT-
North 24 Parganas Deanery Youth Participate in ICYM AGM 2026

On Sunday 21st of June, the North 24 Parganas Deanery participated in the first Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) 2026, held at St. Luigi School, Barrackpore. The event was organised by the ICYM Zonal Executive Committee (ZEXCO) under the guidance of Deanery Spiritual Advisor, Sr. Shanthi SDP.

The gathering brought together nearly 40 youth representatives from 10 parishes, with their newly elected Parish Executive Committee members (PEXCO). Among the participants were St. Patrick's Church, Dum Dum represented by:

Ms Delicia Muruganandam (Vice President)
Ms Akanksha Maria Kerketta (Secretary)
Ms Catherine Tudu

The day commenced with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Ponson CMF. The AGM featured presentations of annual reports by parish units, the felicitation of PEXCO members, and the presentation of the zonal annual report by Mr Rohan Ekka, Zonal Vice President. Participants also benefited from an inspiring formation session titled “3D’s: Discover, Develop and Deliver” conducted by Mr Lawrence Biswas, followed by an engaging panel discussion with youth leaders and Sr. Shanthi SDP.

The programme provided a valuable platform for spiritual growth, leadership development, fellowship, and the sharing of experiences among the participating parish youth groups. The AGM concluded on a positive note fostering unity and collaboration among the parishes of the deanery.

Happy Father’s Day from St. Patrick's Church - Dum Dum, Kolkata

Today, we give thanks to God for all fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and father figures who faithfully reflect His love through their guidance, sacrifice, and care.

As we celebrate Father’s Day, let us remember and pray for:

🔸 Fathers who lovingly nurture their families.

🔸 Fathers facing challenges and hardships.

🔸 Fathers who are no longer with us and have gone to their eternal rest.

🔸 Priests and spiritual fathers who shepherd God’s people with dedication and compassion.

We were also blessed to have Fr. Alphonse Rodricks join Fr. Rana in celebrating the Holy Mass on this special occasion. Fr. Alphonse was warmly felicitated by the parish community, and we thank him for his presence, prayers, and blessings.

May St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus and patron of fathers, intercede for all fathers, granting them wisdom, strength, patience, and a steadfast faith.
