On 25th January, ICYM Calcutta successfully organized the Diocesan Executive Committee Election 2026 at Seva Kendra Calcutta. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected team and wish them every success as they take up their responsibilities in service to the Archdiocese.

We also express our sincere gratitude to the outgoing DEXCO for their relentless dedication and committed service to the Archdiocese of Calcutta.

We are thankful to Fr. Sandip Michael Biswas, former Diocesan Youth Director, and Ms. Anancia Fernandes, Regional Youth Lady Animator, WB & Sikkim Region, for graciously honouring the occasion with their presence. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Anthony Tushar Rodrick, Director, Seva Kendra Calcutta for his constant support and guidance towards the welfare of the youth of the Archdiocese.

On 11th January 2026, the Midnapore Deanery Youth Zonal Executive Committee (ZEXCO) celebrated its First Deanery Youth Day at Mary Immaculate School, Midnapore, under the theme "Rooted in Faith, Growing in Culture.” The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 220 young people from across the deanery. The Diocesan Youth Director, Ms. Angela Perris, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Fr. Ranjit D’Rozario, Host Principal of Mary Immaculate School, was present as the Special Guest.

The day commenced with a solemn inaugural ceremony, followed by the felicitation of the guests. The programme was enriched with moments of live worship, engaging ice-breaking sessions, the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, and concluded with a vibrant cultural evening. As part of the celebrations, awards were presented for Best Parish Youth (Male and Female categories), and certificates and trophies were distributed to the winners of the cultural competitions.

The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Archdiocese of Calcutta, congratulates the Midnapore Deanery ZEXCO team for successfully organizing such a well-coordinated and meaningful Deanery Youth Day. The programme was carried out under the able leadership of the Deanery Youth In-charge, Fr. Stephen Tudu, and the guidance of the Deanery Coordinator, Mr. Lawrence Prince Biswas.

We are pleased to share that our diocese proudly emerged as the 1st Runner-up in the Bible Quiz and the 2nd Runner-up in the Fashion Show Competition, making the experience even more memorable and rewarding.
