Sri Sri Karunamoyee Thakurani Trust deeply mourns the passing of Ustad Sabir Khan, eminent Tabla maestro and recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. He passed away on 14th May 2026.

Heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, and prayers to the Almighty to grant them strength to bear this irreparable loss.

With profound reverence, we remember that Ustadji had twice offered his soulful musical garland at the holy feet of Maa Karunamoyee during the Annual Classical Programmes, the last being held on 6th January 2025. His divine presence, humility, and music transformed the entire atmosphere into one of devotion and spiritual bliss.

Though the maestro has departed from this earthly world, his rhythm, artistry, and blessings shall continue to echo eternally in our hearts.
