Words from our Founder, Carlton Rixon
Greetings to all of Lord Jesus Family and our well wishers.
We pray that you and your family are all in good health. Throughout this pandemic, Lord Jesus School children and family members have been praying for all of you, just as we have also received the blessings of many people's prayers and support.
During this ongoing pandemic, no words of condolence can be enough for those who have lost their loved ones and for those who continue to suffer and struggle in various parts of the world. We pray that God may give each one an angel to overcome their struggles in whatever situation they are facing.
I would like to give you the latest update on our outreach during this pandemic. We have been able to reach out to many people and children by providing cooked meals, groceries and medicines. We also undertook a funeral of a Christian person during the 2020 Amphan (cyclone). The wife of the late person did not know what to do, as no one wanted to come forward because of the fear of being infected by the Corona virus, even though the deceased was not a case of Covid 19. By God's grace, we were able to be available to bury the person in dignity.
Food distribution is being done in various parts of the city. Additionally, a number of children were taken off the streets and accommodated at home care center. I also reached out to the Kolkata Police and street cleaners by serving tea and refreshments to them. This was done purely out of gratitude for their service to the city.
Lord Jesus Ministry continues with the children education program, food distribution and medical care. We continue to invest our time and effort into the children education program on the streets in slum areas, Lord Jesus School in Gangnapur and our school in Namchi (Sikkim)
We look forward for your continued prayers and support as the harvest is plenty and workers are few. It is worthwhile to reach out to the hungry, sick and to the lost. You will always receive ten folds of your blessings in this life and in your next life. Don't wait and think that someday you will do good. Now is the time to use your talents, knowledge and wealth to help someone that is desperately in need.
My music teacher once told me, 'when you have the ability to help, use it or you will lose it.'
God bless you all.
