“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of
him, but because he loves what is behind him.”
All over the country Independence Day is celebrated on 15th August every year, for the independence from British Rule at the cost of countless sacrifices and decades of struggle. While fluttering the Tricolour, we forget that the Independence also takes everyday sacrifices to maintain it day after day, for seventy plus years now, on the border. It’s no cheap, the price is paid everyday with bloods & tears of those protecting it. A soldier earns the Freedom everyday, for himself, for his nation and everybody there. His patriotism is not just a feeling, not a symbolic or geographic idea, it is also promoting & defending the value of the nation. That is the soldier fights for and lays down his life if there is the need for it. A nation becomes strong, if every citizen becomes a soldier for the nation – when they learn and appreciate what goes into earning independence and then staying independent – when they know the cost of freedom and willing to pay the same, a nation inherently becomes strong and stays so.

It is a blessing that must be earned before it is enjoyed.”
